Man if you all ready got a OBD1 P72 ecu keep it ,that's like gold to a honda\acura guy.. A P28 is like the next best thing to a OBD1 P72 ecu. Keep it cause those ecu's are gettin more and more hard to find due to the high demand of these ecu's. So Keep it you'll be glad you did

you know you have to get your ecu chipped and socketed and then get tuned right? the stock ecu will not work under boost. and if you are asking what piston rings, i would go with ross rings.

hondata discontinued the s200 for a reason man. go with the s300 its a much better program:twisted:. as far as your ecu goes you could tune your p72 with hondata but if i was you i would get a p28 and "chip" the p28 with the s300 cause like someone already stated the stock p72 ecu's are becoming very rare and are the only honda ecu that i know of that run iab's (secondary butterflys)8).

*edit* i just noticed you said your ecu is already chipped. there is no reason to change ecu's then you should be good just tune it with the s300

Jus curious man, so you preferr the P28's over the P72'S??? If so then why? Jus wondering, since you pointed out jus getting a P28 chipped.

when most people chip an ecu they move the vtec engagement point higher and it screws up hondas original design of the iab's and effectiveness of the dual runner intake manifold on a stock gsr with the p72 ecu. when you tune/chip your ecu it remaps the whole thing anyway (or it should) so it doesnt matter wether its a p28, p72, p30 or what have you as long as its a vtec computer.
but because the p72 has the capability of running the iabs we like to keep them stock.
