I saw an ad for a 1993 integra ls special edition DA9 for 2500. it has 123XXX miles. timing belt was replaced 2 years ago. Assuming everything is working fine when i go take a look at it. is it worth to buy. I have a few friends telling me i shouldnt get this car because its not worth it. (they are retarded anyways)

you can wait for something a little newer than that if you have the money...

If the car is in good condition then i'd say its a good price. Your not going to find much newer for $2500.

*I just did some researching on T-I and apparently 1993's came in LS-SE, too? Is that right? I read something on G1's, as well. Will somebody clarify it for me? I thought Acura didn't introduce Special Editions until 1995? :?:

Nope, They were first introduced in 1991.

The 1991 Model came with either 2 tone cloth interior with matching door panel inserts or leather interior, Leather wrapped steering wheel was standard and alloy wheels aswell.

The 1992-1993 version came with painted moldings, lip and mirrors, Leather was standard. And had its own color of forest green.

I was interested and did some more researching. The only other source I found that even mentioned a special model prior to 1995 was Consumer Guide Auto, but even there, they just called it a special-model LS (RS, LS, GS, GS-R for second gens) but mentioned the 1995 as a 'SE' (RS, LS, SE, GS-R, Type-R for third gens). Why's that? The other sources I found didn't have much info on that. Does the door jamb say LS-SE on the G2s, as well?

From what I've been reading, it looks like if there was a second generation "SE," it came out in '93.

The main difference I'm seeing is that the LS Special = the 2nd generation ones; SE = Special Edition (it's own trim level) = introduced in 1995.

yeah your friends will know it was "worth it" when you spank them all at the track *cough* street also...so yeah 2000-2250 is worth it of the car is in good condition

nice! get it and take some pics!!

G2's at 2 grand are about what you'll pay. try to talk him down a little. By the time someone is asking 2500 for a car, they should be expecting to get around 2 grand anyways.

plus, the miles on that are actually kinda low for what the car is. I say get it and tell your friends to eff off. lol

You looked to far into it missy.

They werent called SE's per-say. They were known as the LSS (Luxury Sport Special), But people commonly called it the Special Edition for some unkown reason.
