Okay heres the story, I got lowering springs for Christmas for my DC2 and my Dad called the local auto shops to see how much it would be to get them installed. Long story short the guy said that the lowering springs will severly mess up my car and told my Dad not to get them installed. So I was looking at CoilOver kits and I was wondering if I get this would this mess up my suspension? And what is the cheapes way to lower the car without it damaging the suspension? I rely want to acheive the lowered look without doing harm to my DC2.

If you are running stock struts its probably not that good of idea. I mean its not gonna ruin your ride but it will feel every bump... but then again what lowered car dosent? Right now Im running tockiko illumina struts and tein springs. But Im going to be ditching the teins to go with skunk 2 coilovers. oh and thats next to if you got cheap ebay 50 dollar ones i wouldnt even bother putting them on. ebay=garabge/ Id try skunks. But keep us posted. Hope my .02 helps

Thanks man, I went to NOPI.com and I saw a suspension kit they were selling there for $438.46 "PS: I live rely close to the NOPI shop and thats where I usually get my stuff from because alot of their stuff is in stock." and I might buy it after I return my lowering springs.

haven't never heard lowering springs will mess you car up, will make it ride bumper than shit though, i would get full coilovers, check out JHPUSA.com they have Skunk2 full coilovers Pro series for sell for $589, thats what I am going to get, also if you lower your vehicle I would get a camber kit also.

i dont agree with what the shop said. if you have some good quality springs like H&R or Eibach, they ride hella smooth, and way better with aftermarket struts/shocks. cheap ebay springs on the other hand is crap.

btw are you talking about sleeved coilovers or full coilover kits? full coilover kits are definately the top notch stuff but a tad more expensive than the spring/sleeved coilover w/ afterketmarket struts/shocks.
