So I was driving my car today to get some shit from the store, and while i was driving back my f**king hood flew up and smashed my windshield. Now the reason I'm so pissed is because I just hit a deer like 3 months ago, and now this happened. I think that there was something wrong with the latch.. I know that the hood was latched the whole way down. Has anyone ever heard of a faulty latch?

that sucks.. in the first month i had my car my friend hit a deer with it smashing drivers side headlight[still works] and paint, then 2 weeks later my friend backs his truck into mine and pushes it while its in park!
So went to the body shop they said 800 for the front, 550 for the back. Luckly one of my friends are paying for the back, but im still stuck with the front.

Lesson learned, do not let friends around your ride. lol.

Yeah .. I checked it and it seemed to work okay. Whenever I close my hood, I always close my hood and lift up on it to make sure its latched. I dunno. I guess my car was just telling me it wanted a Carbon Fiber hood with hood pins, because now my OEM hood is junk. I'll take some pics for you guys so u can check out the damage.

NRG hood-locks come in carbon fiber as well and have keys you need in order to actually open it. =]

same thing happened to my buddies da. but it was carbon. damn thing hit the roof cracked and then shattered the sunroof all over me and my friend.

damn that sucks, the same thing happened to my boy in his eg hatch.the hood flew up and broke the windshield and dented the roof of the car up.

Yeah.. could have been worse. I was going 55mph.. It sucked, because it was like instant dark.. knocked my rear view mirror off smoked me in the head and then had to crouch down, veer off the road and turn my 4 ways on.

wow... that sucks! The latch on my teg was bad after I got into an accident with it, but I never went more then like 30 with the car after I got into the accident, and made sure to tell the guy that bought it that it was fucked up. He fixed it and it works fine now, but damn!
