Turbo Question

Hey CI.. I am planning on putting a turbo on my integra, but I am going to make my own setup. All I need to know is what is the biggest turbo i can install? Currently running B18c1 stock internals besides the HKS cams that I installed before dropping the new engine in.

depending on the cams, you might want to go back to stock. too much overlap is bad for boost. and on stock internals i'd say a t3/t4 60 trim is the biggest you will want to go; if you want it to last for any amount of time. you can make about 300whp reliably if its tuned

Well, the cams that are installed are HKS 264 Duration and I have Skunk2 Adjustable Cam Gears. I thought with 264 duration you and the adjustable cam gears I could run a turbo, and when i get it on the dyno they could adjust everything?

all they are goin to be able to adjust with cam gears is timing you cantadjust the duration unless you get different cams. I wouldnt even bother with a .60 trim, its big and as stated above, 6 months for full spool. Get a smaller trim for faster spool and quicker power,

i think im going to go with a T04E Turbo. found one cheap, and its specs are what im looking to get on my engine. I only want to run about 10-12Psi boost.

I already ordered the turbo, blow off valve and exhaust manifold.

Went with HKS Blow off valve, and a manifold made outa T304 aluminum.

Now, I got a few questions though. After i get all of these, then i still need an oil feed line, and oil catch can right, intercooler, intercooler piping and couplers.. right?

Is there a good place to buy all these things? I also need a turbo timer and boost controller too right? Am I fogetting anything?

I'm not trying to be an ass by any means but I would have done a bit more research on boost before you started ordering things for 1. Timing+Boost=Explosion. Also...You don't need an oil catch can but you need return/feed lines, also you're going to need a new oil pan if you don't want to tap into yours, boost gauge to read what you're doing so you don't blow your engine up. Turbo, Manifold, Downpipe, Intercooler, Piping, Couplers, If your turbo isn't internally wastegated you're going to need a wastegate, you're going to need to upgrade your fuel this doesn't NEED to be done but to get the best tune it's advised if you don't already at LEAST 2.5" exhaust preferablly 3". Some kind of piggyback system like hondata or phareable. Chrome and uberdata is free due to it just being software most tuners have and whoever you will go to to get a tune will 99% of the time have those programs and all you need is the chip which usually your tuner will provide at either no charge or like 10 dollars. Also do hit your goal of 10-12 PSI if you plan on daily driving like that I really suggest to more supporting stuff, the stock internals will be able to handle that for a litte while but not forever. Not only that but the turbo you're going with which I'm pretty sure you said you went with the T04B which is going to have a T4 on the exhaust side which is GIGANTIC and you'll be completely spooled shortly after everything is already blown to peices I think with what you're throwing together...the tune is going to make or break your car, I DEFINATELY wouldn't cheap out on the tune and make sure whoever doing it is GOOD. but best of luck to you and let us all know how it turns out.
