Well, as some of you already know.. I seized up my GS. So far I've ripped the motor off and found out that 2 of 3 motor mounts were destroyed. Thats awesome :evil:. I''m going up this weekend to get my new GSR B18c1 motor and some new glass (front windshield and pass. side quarter glass). But heres some pictures of my progress.. Nothing like a backyard engine swap, eh??
I was going to just try to rip it right out, and then I realized I forgot to take the CV Joints out.. Im a dumba$$:lol:
So I got some ramps and rigged myself some jacks to pop the lower balljoints out to get the cv joints out.. Yes I know.. not safe at all, But i felt suprisingly comfortable underneath the car.. (that is until it rolls back and kills me:lol
Yeah... my heart shaped fluid catcher really didnt work. At least its an easy cleanup. I just threw some cat litter over all of it.
Inside of the hood.. look how freakin' dirty that $hit is! haha, well you can see where I tried to keep it clean at least. Oh boy, cant wait to start cleaning all that out.
Filthy huh? Soon to be clean.... i hope.
future plans if anyones interested.. I am going to lower it, run an Apexi N1 exhaust, front, rear strut bars, short shifter kit, 1 piece JDM headlights, an aftermarket steering wheel of some kind. I want to do a lot of things to my car, but just these future plans are enough for now. Hopefully I will be ordering some of the parts soon too... 8) I'll keep updating on this thread too. So keep posted!
