I'm guessing by idling, you mean reving. If your car is fluctating betwee 1,000 and 1,500 at a stop light there are several causes. The most likely is a vacume leak somewhere. It could also be your Fit valve on your TB. I would also not rule out your map sensor going bad. Do you have a cel on? Start by verifing that you don't have a vacume leak. Then pull your tb off and clean real good. Inspect your fit valve on the underside to make sure it's not stuck. Cleaning it ususally frees it up, but you may need to replace it. Re-install your tb with a new gasket. If it was your map sensor or something electrical, you would probably be getting a cel. Other things to check, dirty injectors, bad or fowled o2 sensor, fouled plugs, bad wires, bad rotor or dist cap, etc... I'm not sure what hole you plugged in your tb (probably the bottom one that goes to the fit valve), but thats not going to help.how can i stop my car from breathing? I have a 90 integra..I plugged the hole in the throttle body, but that didnt really help. What it does, is that it idles at 1000 and 1500 rpm, when i'm driving and stop at a stoplight, it idles, then i hit the gas one good time while im in neutral and it stops idling. So how can i stop the idling?
