Stick with HIDs or go LED

It is time to update/upgrade my headlights or at least the bulbs. Should I stick with HIDs or make it easy and pick up LED headlights?

Looking that the RAZIR LED from HIDextra.com?

Thoughts? Opinions?

Yes, I still have stock assemblies in my rsx.

that sounds expensive....

Then you should probably stay halogen... Reflector housings aren't made for HIDs/LEDs, and will scatter the light, blinding other people on the road.

Think of every big douchebag pickup truck that's blinded you from behind...

its not expensive. I think i was 300 or so all in for my 4runner's retrofit and i did my integra for around 200.

Your shit isn't lifted...

No, but it's far from short

Solid 2.5-3ft off the ground, and those lightning lights are bright as fuck

...plus I always drive with my fogs on :rolf:

G3's do. RSX's don't.

OP has an RSX.
Thanks guys. Yes. I have an RSX. You're right I would need to do some projectors if I want to do it correctly. Do you guys suggest a retrofit or just buy a full assembly already pre-made?

Sorry for the crazy questions and thanks for the input!

haha Love the truck comments. You might as well put a light bar in your grille!

Ya know, my lights are already pretty bright, but I could always use some more to fill in some dark areas

If you install an LED light bar, I'll have to take a trip up to banjoville just to rip that piece of shit off and beat you with it...

You know me, I'd just mount 4 of those heavy ass KC lights on top of the bumper.

Ill would do the following:

inspect your headlights, are your lenses gouged, tabs broken etc. If they are scour Ebay for a nice set, clean lenses or whatever you need. Make sure the part you want (lens, or housing is in perfect condition). This way you can have a super clean set of headlights and two projector housings if you mess up .https://www.theretrofitsource.com/ is where you are going to spend a lot of money. like ALOT. But its so worth it.

Option 1: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/complete-retrofit-kits/universal-kits/bi-xenon-mini-stage-3-kit-d2s.html#.V63vXE0rLRY

this is a basic retrofit kit, pick your options. The projectors are good. I run them in my 4runner DD/tow vehicle.

Option 2: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/complete-retrofit-kits/universal-kits/bi-xenon-fx-r-stage-iii-kit.html#.V63vlk0rLRY

these projectors are pretty good. They are an upgrade for the Morimoto projector. A lot of people will go to these if they are unhappy with the basic morimoto set up.

Option 3: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/complete-retrofit-kits/universal-kits/low-beam-lexus-tsx-s2000-stage-iv-retrofit-kit.html?preselect=47820,47691,47303,47273,47338#.V63v0k0rLRY

This is going to be the most expensive option but the ABSOLUTE BEST OPTION. Upgrade the projectors to Honda S2000 (arguably the best projector if you have a seprate high beam). Like its the shit. Use a waterproofed ballast, and i prefer denso and phillips for the brands.

And make sure you buy the retro rubber. It replaces the glue when you separate the headlight. I didnt use it the first time and my headlights fogged. No issue after resealing with the retro rubber - You dont have to scrape off the old glue, just throw the retro rubber into the glue channel, bake and press together.
