I haven't really been looking at new bikes lately but I was browsing a little while ago and noticed the new cbr650f and realized it's kinda badass. :lol:

The sound kinda reminds me of the 70s/80s honda's and kawasaki's like the kz1000 and the cb's

All in all it looks like a cool bike for $8500, much better than the ninja 650r.

KZ's have a really distinct sound, almost like an S2k with ITB's. That CBR650 sounds more like the early carbureted R1's or the Katana 1100.

Yeah they do. All I was really getting at is that it doesn't have that gay ass typical 600cc supersport sound :lol: it sounds more like an oldschool 1000cc.

I still need to put the ignition, belt cover and carb back on... Which I still need to tune. And pick up new exhaust studs.

Finally all back together, but now I need to go through the wiring since the HID bulb stopped working and two of the signals, opposite sides, aren't flashing.

That and the petcock decided to take a s***.


Somewhat good news though... I got an email from the company that made my seat. Apparently it's stuck in customs, but they offered to send me another seat with express shipping.

I'm honestly thinking of giving up on the KZ and selling it and all the extra parts for 1k... I just found an 03 XB9R with a freshly rebuilt engine and a ton of extras for 2700. It's tempting as fuck.
