Omnipower 70MM TB, idle problems

Recently installed an Omnipower TB on my 91 Integra. I'm having serious idle issues now. The car idles steadily at 2K RPM now and the CEL is on. I replaced the MAP sensor with one from a 94 Integra, the one on my car was mounted on the firewall, so i had to extend the wires to the new MAP sensor since it's TB mounted. I tried adjusting the idle screw and nothing. I also replaced the TPS as well. When I got to adjust the TPS it either idles higher or stays the same. The car is throwing a Code 7, Throttle position sensor.

The car drives fine, it just idles high. It stays steady at 2K RPM and doesn't come back down.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas what else it could be? I'm stumped and frustrated. The car ran fine prior to the TB install.

Thanks for the help.

Is the tab on the TPS perfectly in the slot on the throttle body? I have seen people put it on wrong and have this issue. Also is the throttle cable on too tight? And is the butterfly adjusted correctly too. There is a little screw that adjusts that too which can cause the throttle to stick open a little.

Why did you want a 70mm TB? That usually isn't needed unless you have a fully built head. I am talking for port job and even oversized valves(technically, because even just porting won't use a 70mm fully).

Is the tps adjustable? If so it needs to be calibrated, if not you need hondata or some kind of tuning software to calibrate the tps.

I'd have to double check the tab, but I'm pretty sure it's in there correctly. I'll have to double check. Throttle cable is actually a little loose, I;ll probably tighten it up a bit. I tried adjusting the idle with the idle adjustment screw and it didn't really do much.

I went with a 70MM cause I was going to build the head in the next few months just wanted to get everything on the car before I wanted I started dealing with the head. Was going to go with BC 404's for cams

Why even install it if it isn't port matched? Just throw the old one back on.

All you need to calibrate the TPS is a multimeter and a little time.

The throttle cable needs a little slack, that is oem. It does get loose over time.

Some drivers like it tight for better pedal response.

You need to set base idle first, get the engine to operating temp. Turn it off, disconnect the iacv. Check the throttle body blade and make sure its fully closed, loosen the cable if necessary. Now you can adjust the base idle, using only the idle adjustment screw set it to 750 or wherever you desire. Shut off the car. Reconnect the iacv and enjoy.

Thanks I'll give this a shot in a few days. Also Is it safe to assume that all MAP sensors are the same? I have 2 that have 2 different part numbers. One is from a 94 Integra and the other is from a 00 Integra

The throttle plate is cracked open slightly. Try closing the pulley by hand see if that brings down the idle. If it does then adjust the stop screws. Aftermarket throttles suck.

It got ignored when I suggested this. Hopefully the second time around he will check this. lol I still say he should just throw stock one back on until its port matched.
