Needing advice on a specific exhaust setup

Alright so I've got an all stock da9. Currently making a list of things that she'll get(Quality CAI, probably koni yellow/tein suspension setup, new paint, wheels, blah blah) I've been trying to research QUIET exhaust set ups. This is one thing that I can't find specifically, as in: Would keeping my stock muffler and increasing my piping before and after it by 1/4" (or any significant amount) give me any more growl? Any mufflers out there that add a little noise? Also, is there a dual tip setup that is larger than factory that still looks/sounds good? It's dual from the factory, it's just TINY. I just want a little louder. I ran a 2.5" catback on a d16y8 civic and it was too loud for me. I just want noticeable, yet civilized. And on a budget (hence the "running bigger pipe before/after" idea). I have an exhaust guy that did a whole catback 2.5" AND weld a tip on for me for like $60. Any advice? Thanks!

Have a shop make you a 2.5in catback with a decent resonator (or two) and a dual exit vibrant muffler. There is going to be a size issue with the dual tips though, unless you buy a single exit with a Y style tip welded on the end.

just chop the exhaust off at the header and put a little resonater where the cat used to be like they did with the boat sounding jetta I drive.

(sarcasm, but it does sound nice)

94RS- I'd love to have a Apexi WS2, but that's not in the budget.
Bloodshot- That's been a thought as well, just bigger piping, with a resonator, then into a good muffler. And by dual tip, I meant like it is from the factory, so on one side, it's just the y-style tip on the end. Also, any idea on a decent y-style tip? And is vibrant a quality resonator/muffler to have? What's been some experience on mufflers/resonators? Thank you guys for the tips!

No fucks given.
Just buy the axleback and have your exhaust guy weld it up.

94RS- I've looked and looked and I can't find the WS2 for a DA integra-axleback or otherwise. Any resources you know of? Or any ideas on how to make another one work with slight modification?

Check Amazon. Search for "universal apexi ws2 muffler." A few should pop up under 300.

Yeah I know what it is I have a DA9 as well. Pick whatever tip you want, just make sure it fits in the little spot of the muffler where it is going to sit. Yes, vibrant is good stuff many people use it when fabbing up their own crap. I'm running a Genki tuning catback, its nice and mellow but I'm also running a stock cat and header. The fitment sucks though. I think it was like 300 shipped to my door, it needed extended (it was probably for an EF) like 2 inches or something, shouldn't be expensive for a shop to do.

Thanks Bloodshot! I'll look into Genki tuning. So how about a mashup of a catback 2.25 piping to a 2.25 Inlet/Outlet vibrant resonator out to a WS2 muffler? Like I said, I want VERY civilized, but a good growl when you get on it. Thanks again for the info guys I'll update when I get this stuff together.
