Hey guys!

I just bought Type R rear lip replicas on ebay.

I was searching how to install it, but the original Manual has many extra nuts and bolts not included in my purchase.

Does anyone have any clue, pics, links, vids on how to install em?

I looked everywhere! :(

Rear lip or rear valances? Because there is no such thing as a type r rear lip just the oem optional rear valances.

Lip would just be the one piece all the way across but it's no big deal.

I know there's a few people on here who have rocked them so you should get answer later today when everyone gets fired back up.

Lot of help I am, Huh?

Haha I still couldn't find anything more :/.

The fact that you wanted to help me out already means a lot. Simple things go a long way!

;)

Unfortunately I have the 94-97 rear bumper so I've never bothered buying valances hence I have no knowledge of how to install them :(

I'm assuming they will go in the 2 holes at the side of the rear bumper (where the mudflaps are supposed to go). Screw them to that and use 3m double sided tape to make it extra secure. That's what I would do.
That's the problem with reps. They just don't fit right :/

Got vtec?
I bought an oem set of valances off CL about a year ago, so I can tell you that you'll need bolts for where the mudflaps secured to the bumper. You'll also need to drill 4 holes on the underside of the bumper. There used to be come sort of tab on the front to secure it but mine was broken by the pervious owner probably for removal. I suppose you could use 3m tape instead of drilling, but be aware that those tabs will probably scratch your bumper not to mention fall off if not properly applied.

Welcome to the replica world. Drill a couple holes in the bumper and screw it in...

You'll also, almost definitely have to shave them to make them fit, or they'll look odd to anyone actually paying attention.

Line them up with painters tape.

Go on the inside with the bumper off the car ofC and clamp the valances to the bumper on the inside.

Drill some pilot holes through both the bumper and valances.

Once that is done just go ahead and use a rivet gun and jam that bitch on there.

If you plan on removing them just use simple bolts with lockin nuts.

I have never needed parts or instructions on anything body panel wise, and all my nuts and bolts add up from previous projects. Ace hardware is also down the road.

The only time I needed instructions are for the engine, torque specs etc.

Otherwise I just Mcguyver shit most the time.
