Hate to hear the bad news but welcome back. We can be auto ls buddies. Where did you get the kit for the shifter? I may want to do that as well

I got everything off of eBay. The entire setup cost me about $100. Maybe a little less.
I'm afraid to ask... How do the hood risers look with the hood shut?
Good question

In my personal opinion, they actually look pretty good. It gives the hood the illusion of being a cowl induction but it's not ricey. Temps at idle after initial warm up are a little cooler as well.

So, a little update.
Well, it's a big update, but with very little pictures, lol.
After work tomorrow, I'm going to pick up my rack and pinion bushings and my driver's side axle bearing (axle to intermediate shaft) from the store across town, and then I'm going to drop my car off at the shop. It's not scheduled to see work until Thursday, but it just works out better this way, so that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to get both cv axles installed, the passenger's side lower ball joint installed (I already did the driver's side; it's got about 50 miles on it), the driver's side axle bearing installed, and the rack and pinion boots installed.
Then, when I get paid, I'll be getting a vc gasket with spark plug tube seals, vc hardware, a pcv valve, a thermostat, and some VHT FlameProof flat red paint to re-do under the hood and do my vc with if the funding allows.

Here's a picture of my car with my buddy Eugene's '96 DC4 SE at a car meet last Friday.

For those who were asking what the hood risers look like with the hood closed, here's a good picture showing it.

Well, I got Alice back from the shop. I got good news and bad news from that:
- My steering rack is leaking
- They didn't use the bearing I bought because it was the wrong size
She feels 10x better and is much more driveable now, BUT, there is still something wrong. When I turn close to full lock to full lock under load or on aggressive turns, it sounds like metal to metal contact. I called the shop and left a message, and they should be calling me back tomorrow and I'll see if I can figure out what it is. I'm thinking and hoping it's just low on fluid.
Regardless, I have my car back and I'm happy.

Ordered a Honda thermostat, PW:JDM valve cover hardware, two cans of VHT FlameProof flat red, a 3/8" stainless steel braided hose for the PCV valve, and a 1/4" red hose for from the radiator cap to the overflow. The black one sticks out like a sore thumb against the red Mishimoto radiator hoses and the hose was only $3, so why not. I'll be getting a PCV valve and a valve cover gasket with spark plug tube seals soon.

Picking up a power steering pump with an AEM pulley on it tomorrow for $40!

Picked up the power steering pump with the AEM lightweight pulley on it, a valve cover gasket with spark plug tube seals, some degreaser, some tire shine, and some other little stuff (I can't remember what else at the moment.), and I ordered a power steering belt and a pcv valve. Progress is gonna be happening soon.

Be careful with those PW:JDM fastener dress up kits. The Allen heads like to strip if you make them too tight.

I haven't had a problem with my pwjdm kit. Still looks brand new. I always just hand tighten them. The vc doesn't need to be super tight anyways.

Thanks for the head's up. I've used them before with no issues, but I'll keep an eye on the tension when I torque them down.

I've been lazy about posting pictures lately.
I did a thing last Saturday called Import Takeover. Me and a bunch of Imports attended car shows from 8:00am-7:00pm and I loved it. Here's a photo from that.

Here's an update of just some of the things I'll be doing later on this week.

I took care of the hoses already. I had to cut about 4" off of the braided hose to make it fit where and how I wanted it, and that was a pain. I had to use a handsaw.

More updates soon.
