Lsvtec requires a lot of work to become reliable as an original vtec motor.
Any swap works really, stick to 4cyl swaps. J swaps require custom mounted radiator, tucked even. Other mods are mostly getting the hood to close and enough clearance so the oil pan isn't on the floor.
