Hey everyone!
I know this is an Integra forum, but CI has always been open about sharing builds that aren't of the Acura/Honda brand. Honda is, has been, and will always have a special place in my high-revving piston pumping heart, but Mazda has always been my #2 favorite car manufacturer. And when it comes to Mazda, I've been lusting for an FC3S RX-7 since I watched Initial D for the first time back in 2001. Yes, more people like the FD3S, but not this guy. Back in December 2012, an ex-coworker sold me his 1987 Mazda RX-7 GXL, which had been parked behind his house for the past 3 years. He was the original owner and it has a clean title. Having been sitting for 3 years, the car obviously needed some work to get it running. After a thorough inspection, he asked for $500 and I called AAA to have her towed to my house. She's been sitting in my garage since then and now I'm finally ready to get her running. My plan is to fully restore her and turn her into a weekend warrior. Clean and simple, nothing crazy or over the top. She's mostly bone stock minus a couple of things like unknown aftermarket exhaust system and the old school Enkei wheels. I'm very excited so see how this build will play out.
Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to Ashley.
I apologize for the crappy photo. I'll be taking better ones with my T4i after I give her a proper wash.
