I like Hondas
Our cars have a 13.2 gal tank
im 200. that was with a passenger seat and misc pieces i removed. In theory my car is 2100lbs.Ok so lets say drivers 140 pounds that puts you around 2200! What are you missing that i have? Sunroof , AC , sound deadening ? Plus i heard a b16 is around 50 pounds lighter than the b18... And considering i barely had any gas it might have been an accurate reading..
I installed a momo steering wheel and i removed the passenger ABS... Since my car was a swap it was rewired and compared to the look of most stock cars mine looks like im missing alot under the hood including the transmission mount even... The carpeting from trunk to the front weighed over 30 pounds on my house scale.. I do have the heater.. Also i just realized i don't have my front bumper support.. Not sure about the rear.. Also i removed most of the sound deadening on the trunk and under the back seats.Yeah, but sunroof is 35 lbs, sound deadening plus foam matting is another 30, ac is a lot too. Plus I bet you still have the heater system which is like 40 total I hear. Then theres srs system and abs, if you havnt removed both of those completely. There is a good chunk of weight by removing various brackets and excess wiring too. The only thing you removed and I didnt was radio system, carpet and center plastics, which is what, 20 combined? So ill add that 20, plus 30 for half tank of gas, plus 50 for roll bar. So 100lbs right there for me that you didnt have when you weighed, but you have 100 lbs at least still to remove to just from those 3 things. I guess that would even us out. Maybe it is closer than we thought, but still seems low. Maybe I am just misunderstanding what you have removed entirely.
Uh oh this might mean 3 different things.. Either i have tons of rust and sludge in the tank ( which is kind of impossible for 4 gallons worth.. Or the tank was replaced with a smaller one... OR for some reason it stops fueling after 9.3 gallons or so... Because i know i took all the fuel out the car that time , it wouldn't start..Our cars have a 13.2 gal tank
Yes, in a way... The only thing close to "tracking" here is a custom road coarse they build outside of Cohen Stadium. Which i tried with my friends mx-5 and it was kind of challenging and very fun ! Other than that casual drag strip runs with friends for fun... That is until i move to Alabama next year.So... basically you're building a track car? :what:
What part of Alabama? I live in the Athens/Madison area.Yes, in a way... The only thing close to "tracking" here is a custom road coarse they build outside of Cohen Stadium. Wait what...are you confusing abs with srs? Abs is antilock brake system. Srs is the airbags....I installed a momo steering wheel and i removed the passenger ABS......The carpeting from trunk to the front weighed over 30 pounds on my house scale..
Or you had a lot if air in the system. It is a pressurized tank afterall. Or you still had fuel in the system. LolUh oh this might mean 3 different things.. Haha yes sorry i meant SRS ... And i have no idea i think the little wood piece in the trunk was included in that weight...Wait what...are you confusing abs with srs? Abs is antilock brake system. Srs is the airbags....
And the carpet weighed 30lbs? Was it soaking wet?
I think around Montgomery area. We haven't bought the place yet. But i would love to cruise to some meets or something if you are into that...What part of Alabama? I live in the Athens/Madison area.
Montgomery is a little ways from me, but I love cruising to car meets. I actually helped organize one in my area and they meet every Saturday night. I haven't been going lately because it's been too cold.I think around Montgomery area. We haven't bought the place yet. But i would love to cruise to some meets or something if you are into that...
yep ik i talked to a friends mechanic to help me out but it never actually happened ... how long would it take for a person to do abs delete if they knew what they were doing and if you had it done how much would it cost? i dont trust myself to go in there blindly and yank stuff out and replace lines..So you still have ABS? Thats another 35 lbs. Just so you know, but its a lot of work.
