Ohhhhhh i read it wrong, i thought you were making the black trim chrome. Thank god you are making it black lol
Haha. Nah. I don't think Plasti Dip makes a chrome can. Even if they did, I wouldn't use it. I don't like chrome on imports. It just screams rice.

Ironically, the other night I was thinking about telling you to plastidip the trim.

So, last night was interesting. One of my friends was checking out my intake setup since he was contemplating building one for his Accord, when another one of my friends came over and started tampering with stuff under the hood. I told him eight times to leave my stuff alone (about the 3rd time on my language started to get explicit.), and when he finally left it alone, he told me I'd probably be mad. He unplugged my IACV sensor (I think that's what he unplugged.) and triggered a CEL light. Then, he plugged the sensor back in.
So, today, when I got back from church, I unplugged the battery from the terminals, cleaned the terminals with a toothbrush and a can of soda (the carbonation eats the corrosion), then put the cables back on and drove it around for a few minutes, No CEL, so I'm assuming it's gone for good again.
Other than that, nothing new. My JDM Zipties should be in soon.

A few updates. Sorry -- no pictures yet. I'll try and get some tomorrow.

I painted my strut tower bar pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. I took it off, degreased it, scrubbed it clean with steel wool, cleaned it again with Windex, then primered it, sprayed it with two coats of Rust-Oleum Gloss Candy Pink and two coats of Rust-Oleum Gloss Clear. I also soaked the bolts in brake parts cleaner to get the grime off the bolts (I got the strut bar used.), and I greased the threads of the bolts before I installed them to make them easier to install and easier to un-install should I decide to mess with it again, which I might. I rushed it and got fingerprints in the paint by the mounting points.

My JDM Zipties and decals came in. They sent the wrong decals (me and my luck with decals has sucked lately.), but I put one on anyway and it turned out okay. But, the 'J' in the 'JDM Zipties' script wasn't wanting to stick. The first one, I tried heating the adhesive with a lighter and that didn't work; I just melted the 'J', lol. The second time, I took the 'J' from the second decal and eyeballed it and put it where the old 'J' was. It looked pretty good, but the adhesive still wasn't very sticky on the 'J' so when I got home, I just coated the back of that portion of the decal with a glue stick. Problem solved and easy to clean should I decide to take it off. If the 'J' comes off again, I'm just going to take the decal off and order the proper one again.

The zipties went on with minimal issues, look great, and add a good humor factor to the car. Some of the zipties threads were weak, so I had to throw a few of them away, but I didn't need all 15 I bought, anyways. I still have a ton left.

Anyways. I'm planning on doing the oil change tomorrow, and pics should be up of the strut tower bar, decal, and zipties.

Today was busy. This is in no particular order, but I changed the oil in my car (Castrol GTX High Mileage 5W-30, Seafoam treatment, and a K&N Pro Series oil filter. Purrs now.), cut the A/C belt off (my compressor doesn't work and I won't have time to do the delete for a while.), took the front exhaust heat shield off (I can't get to the rest of them because my resonator is in the way.), washed my friend's '90 BMW 325i Euro-spec (shipped into the states when new straight from Germany. He picked it up earlier this month for $1,750.), and I helped him change out a tire (one of his tires had a small leak, and he had a matching, brand new BMW bottlecap with a brand new tire on it in the trunk, courtesy of the previous owner.). I also took the JDM Zipties decal off because the adhesive was crap and it wouldn't stay stuck.

Anyways, here are a few pictures netting the progress from last night until now.

I also got into a gravel drifting competition with my buddy in the 325i just for fun. I actually won! He said my drifts looked like they were straight out of a Hollywood movie. I laughed at that.
My car needs a wash.
