I don't really find this offensive. But I think you're reasoning is wrong. I believe people celebrate Independence Day because we fought and won our independence. 9/11 was an attack, nothing to celebrate but to remember the people that lost their lives.

isn't memorial day a day to remember the veterans and those that died for our country? pretty sure people took their 3-4 day weekend do whatever they wanted, including partying, instead of remembering(visiting graves/sites of) those that have died fighting for the country.

My Birthday ( May 1st) is another matter as that is also now the day we Killed the SOB responsible for this day being historical...

theres nothing to be happy about then with all these 'holidays' that people died in.

there is no comparison between Independence day ( a day we fought for and won our independence from the tyranny of Brittan) and 9/11 when thousands of innocent American lives were lost in a Jihad terrorist attack.

Absolutely & completely different scenarios...

Fox in that comment is poking at the liberal beehive and accusing them of probably celebrating the deaths of Americans based on their liberal views... and denouncing the true meaning of silent reflection on the largest attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor...

We certainly do not run around saying

"Happy Pearl Harbor Day" On December 7th do we?

I'll say the only positive thing that came out of it was helping to unify the American people and showing the world that if you fuck with us and harbor our enemies then we will fuck you up. We all may not look past our noses as individual citizens some of the times but if shit happens to out country then we band together.

Yeah, fuck with us and you damn near have a decade to live afterwards. The band together part I agree with, David Letterman's speech his first night back on air was a great example of how everyone was feeling at the time.
