If your really wanting a cooler air flow get a cold air intake system instead of the stock intake. Its one of the first and cheapest upgrades most will recommend

well i was gonna do an icebox setup with my stock airbox and also have the airflow go through the high beam too. Idk if that would do anything, but i wonder if that would help draw some more cold air. like a siphon feed on a paint gun possibly? if not, im still gonna do it cuz it looks cool to me :p

X2 on the for track only cars. Generally people would put a velocity stack in that area connected to the intake as well.
If you're not running a velocity stack, the difference is basically 0. The only reason I could see doing that, like I'm about to, is because I track.
I wouldn't use a velocity stack anywhere but the 1320, maybe circuits and autox, depending on how well built the velocity stack is with the filter; but straight velocity stack is only for the strip
aesthetics and airflow.
dude, wow...

Also, I really don't see the cutout causing hydrolock through a short ram. Minimal space for the rain to go through, and an even more limited amount of filter to get fucked up. You would look like a fag, however

since this thread is back, I just want to say that usually ppl take out headlights when they have a turbo right there. I bet that Teg in the pic has a turbo just behind that headlight and they have a cone filter on it.

and yes, on a DD car this would look very silly and people like me would laugh at you.

In my neighborhood people street race using this method all the time,it looks bad ass, sounds sick, and makes a very small difference, but a difference nonetheless.let the man do what he wants.
