first off, is this your primary vehicle? whats the reason for the purchase of this car and do you plan on keeping it or selling it later down the road?

if you want to keep it basic and save gas. factory honda.
if you was a fun reliable grocery getter, a modded honda.
if you want a fast car, anything but a honda.

<--- i've owned this POS since 2005, what started out as a daily driver became a street/track car because i have a second vehicle that saves gas.

Yeah... Really well said. I plan on keeping it for four years+. I'll probably get another car during Grad School if I get a tenure somewhere, but that is all in the future, an could change. Either way, I need a car to take me from home and back for four hours about 10 times a year, plus something easy on gas, yet fun to drive on the weekends when I'm not studying. I've come to understand that fast, and reliable, isn't cheap. That cheap and fast, isn't reliable. And that cheap, and reliable, isn't fast. TBH, I can't afford a fast car that will be practical. Sure, I could get a BMW, or Mustang with an sc, or any car from the plethora of cars that are fast. But a fun to drive, agile car is what I want. Backroads>Interstates, if you get my drift. Speaking of drift, I've kind of forgotten about the ep3, although I still secretly like it, but I'm between a 3rd gen Integra, or a 240sx.. I'm leaning more towards the Integra..

But, to get your definition, what is a FAST CAR?

3rd gen integra would be a wise choice. I was in your position before I got my teg. It was between the 240sx, 300zx or the integra. I chose the integra because I know that I won't have to worry about it as much, parts are easier to find and Honda engines are known to last. I never regretted my decision one bit cause I drove my teg everywhere, from norcal to socal a couple of times and to vegas too.

Looking for my next Teg..
having recently gone from the Integra to a G35 ( saw you listed that ) in your case go integra 100%

the G35 is much more car, but also much more price, much more gas, much more insurance, and for someone tryin to keep a budget it just is not practical...

I can say this much... I love the G35 it is a perfect blend of fast enough spry enough & lively enough to make me not toally regret selling my Da, but it is definitely thirsty enough to have me shopping for another Integra or other honda car for daily driving...

If you get a 240sx make sure it's not been ragged out and drifted and get a clean, stock 240. But 240, integra, mk3 turbo supra..

Something he wont find in this part of the country for less then 6k lol.

OP your criteria hits a Honda product to a T, just don't be dumb, know what to look for, and don't jump on the first thing that comes your way.

Think I should consider older vehicles? I really hate having an old, beat up car. I sure don't want to buy one. I drive a 93 accord btw. I like del sols, crxs(not getting one, way too old), civic hatches, the dc2/4, and the dc5/ep3, and even preludes. But wanting a car with better mpg, somewhat spacious, fun to drive, great handling(for a fwd car), and safe, all for under 6k.. Well, that leaves me the integra. The 240, yeah, it would be cool, but you can't find one. And its almost the same deal with hondas. You can barely find one done right. ALL of them are riced out, beat up, and on junk parts. Anyways, thanks guys, I appreciate all the feedback. It's really helping me sort out my wants from needs.
