Great to hear that Ill try and make this thread as enjoyable as possible ! More pictures and things soon please stay tuned ! And this is my first build thread ever and like my 5th thread.. So any tips are welcome on making this an awesome thread!I'm excited about this thread
I am willing to remove anything that is not VERY overrated ... I want nothing comfort wise.. Hence why p/s is out and i want ABS and A/C as well .. As long as it's not going to put me in danger and be reliable like i said like a go-cart .. So please anything else you have in mind let me know , I am more than thankful for any guidance , especially from someone that is experienced on this subjectI forgot to mention I get 32 mpg. Samurai's car is also really light. You can easily get these cars in the 2000-2150 range. Just depends how much you want to remove.
I'm just putting them on craigslist to see if anyone wants to pick them up for a few bucks.. I allready have almost 2 sets of seats ( old owner gave me a set for no reason ) Ill take free any day.. And everything else ill do like 10 bucks or something on the plastic and other crap.. I just put them on and said make an offer... Allready got about 35 bucks on them LOL im making my car faster and getting paid!!! And someone is going to check out the seats tomorrow agreed on a 100 bucks .. Meh not bad imo..What are you doing with the interior?
According the scale im mid to low 2100s with half a tank. Im probably lighter now. Ill get exact numbers as well, Nick and I are using the same scale.I am in the high 2100's(Depending on how much fuel is in the car) with a roll bar, which is heavy as f***. I will get you exact numbers mid this month. When removing the air bags make sure you have the battery unhooked. Yes, it will turn the SRS light on, so just take the bulb out of the cluster. I don't even have a CF hood and rarely do any of the track guys with insanely light cars. 400 dollars just isn't worth 15 lbs. Look in to a FAL rear window, that will net you good results as well.
I know people who have their cars in the 2000-2100 range with a roll cage, so yet it is possible. In fact you should check out donuts thread. He is the weight reduction master.
