I forgot to mention I get 32 mpg. Samurai's car is also really light. You can easily get these cars in the 2000-2150 range. Just depends how much you want to remove.

HAHA looks like this turned into a fight of weights :D

Bad news my scale is out of battery i was going to weigh everything i took out today.. So that'll be tomorrow..

List of everything thats out and their estimated weights ( from research..

Trunk carpet, wooden piece, spare tire and tools - 36 lbs
Rear speakers - <5 lbs
Rear seats , Belt Buckles , Seatbelts - 35 lbs
Power steering- 17lbs
Lighter Battery ( came with it ) - 10lbs
Antenna-2lbs
Intake box and resonator - 10 lbs
Thats 130 pounds allready.. ( wohoo! :p

Anyone wanna add any info to this ?
Also lists of things i want out.. and their estimate weights..

Front carpet- 40lbs
A/C - 46 lbs
Headunit, front speakers - 15 lbs
Passenger seat - 34 lbs
ABS unit- 40 ??
Lighter wheels tires - 10lbs ??
Steering wheels ( airbag removed ) also passenger airbag- 15 lbs
Bucket Seat - 15 lbs
Cf hood - 15 lbs
Sound Deadening - 30 lbs

Thats almost a whopping 250 pounds!

Overall about a safe 350 lbs saved at the end i believe !

Thats all i can figure for now please add anything to the list - Safe to remove , nothing like bumper brace or door brace :D

I am willing to remove anything that is not VERY overrated ... I want nothing comfort wise.. Hence why p/s is out and i want ABS and A/C as well .. As long as it's not going to put me in danger and be reliable like i said like a go-cart .. So please anything else you have in mind let me know , I am more than thankful for any guidance , especially from someone that is experienced on this subject :D

Take dry ice to that sound deadening. Google sound deadening removal for some how to threads. You can also remove the heater, gut your dash, and most importantly your sunroof. The sunroof is a good 35-40 lbs.

What are you doing with the interior?
I'm just putting them on craigslist to see if anyone wants to pick them up for a few bucks.. I allready have almost 2 sets of seats ( old owner gave me a set for no reason ) Ill take free any day.. And everything else ill do like 10 bucks or something on the plastic and other crap.. I just put them on and said make an offer... Allready got about 35 bucks on them LOL im making my car faster and getting paid!!! And someone is going to check out the seats tomorrow agreed on a 100 bucks .. Meh not bad imo..

I am in the high 2100's(Depending on how much fuel is in the car) with a roll bar, which is heavy as f***. I will get you exact numbers mid this month. When removing the air bags make sure you have the battery unhooked. Yes, it will turn the SRS light on, so just take the bulb out of the cluster. I don't even have a CF hood and rarely do any of the track guys with insanely light cars. 400 dollars just isn't worth 15 lbs. Look in to a FAL rear window, that will net you good results as well.

I know people who have their cars in the 2000-2100 range with a roll cage, so yet it is possible. In fact you should check out donuts thread. He is the weight reduction master.

100+ pages of great info:

According the scale im mid to low 2100s with half a tank. Im probably lighter now. Ill get exact numbers as well, Nick and I are using the same scale.

I have a lot of weight reduction stuff in my thread

Soo guys wanted to give it a break with the interior and do the only thing the engine needs an OIL CHANGE! Previous owner said he didn't do one for a while , i looked at the oil on the dipstick , didn't look THAT bad but better safe than sorry and i always do it everytime I or a family member buys a car So less talk more pictures ...

Im waiting on the Oil i ordered since Oreilly or Autozone didn't have what i like and prices were outrageous... Off brand Oreilly oil for 18 BUCKS!!! Got Castrol High Mileage ( 5qt ) for 17$ online LOL!

So im gonna drain the oil overnight , change the Filter and hopefully add oil in 3 days..
