Makes sense that the black interior are more wanted then. They must not stain as much after racing.
s***? Lol
Dammit. Must have Freudian slipped, I meant shift.Ew, gross
Gonna have to disagree with you on the Skyline. The one in 2F2F makes me laugh every time due to the APC stickers on the front.I would say that 90% of the cars in that movie are really rice. The Veilside RX-7 would be much better if it was all one color. Hell every car would be much better if it didn't have all the decals on them. If I had a jetta I would do that to it ( aside from the decals) same with the eclipse. The skyline is 0% rice.
actually they explained that car like 9 years ago. they converted it to rwd because the attesa ETS wouldn't let the stunt drivers make the car misbehave in turns. it was a GTR with the awd disabled..Gonna have to disagree with you on the Skyline. The one in 2F2F makes me laugh every time due to the APC stickers on the front.
And the Bayside Blue one in #4 is clearly RWD (GTS-t), yet wears full GT-R aero and badging. According to the movie, it has an RB26 swap, but it's still a GTS-t
The Skylines used during filming were all R34s, a model introduced way back in 1998. Like other Skylines, the R34 is powered by a RB26DETT 2.6-liter, DOHC, 24-valve straight six sitting longitudinally in the engine bay that's force fed by twin turbos and rated at a laughingly low 280 hp. The R34's engine feeds a six-speed Getrag gearbox that in turn sends power to the ATTESA all-wheel-drive system, which electronically varies the torque split.
In fact, the Skyline R34 is such an effective piece of technology, it was too good for movie work. All-wheel-drive supercars are quick and amazing to drive, but they're absolutely nonchalant about their work. It takes a rear-quarter hit by an out-of-control country squire to get an R34's tail to swing out dramatically, and burnouts are tough in a car with more traction than a Caterpillar D9. So the 2F2F transportation department excised the front driveshaft and disabled the Skyline's four-wheel steering so it could misbehave like a regular car.
you can own them when they are 25 years old. R32 is legal next year or the ear after IIRCOne day I will own a r34
Woah woah.. Why can't you own one now?you can own them when they are 25 years old. R32 is legal next year or the ear after IIRC
sadly the one in the movie was terribly slow..... a bolton silvia would've spanked it lol
they were never DOT approved. lol they have been illegal since day one. the only current legal skylines are r33 gts's, infiniti g35's, and the new gtr. if you get caught driving one, you'll face a buttload of fines and they'll probably crush the car.Woah woah.. Why can't you own one now?
'94 Teg FTW.
Why weren't they approved? They seem like perfectly stable cars to me. I mean, if we can have awd subarus on the road why not awd r34s?they were never DOT approved. lol they have been illegal since day one. the only current legal skylines are r33 gts's, infiniti g35's, and the new gtr. if you get caught driving one, you'll face a buttload of fines and they'll probably crush the car.
lol different crash test rating requirements. headlights height etc. there is so much to it besides it being awd and from japan. if you have $100,000 you can get an r34 "legalized" but not really worth it for a 20,000 car. they are nice but they aren't that nice. Why weren't they approved? Yeah I would say this is one reason why I don't have a R34 in my garage.lol different crash test rating requirements. headlights height etc. there is so much to it besides it being awd and from japan.if you have $100,000 you can get an r34 "legalized" but not really worth it for a 20,000 car. they are nice but they aren't that nice.
Nah i'd rather have an untouched, "pristine" R34. And get spanked by stock evo's :-( but I am a nissan guy so I still love the r34Nah i'd rather have an untouched, "pristine" R34. Haha

Call me a traitor but I have always loved evos.. I always always always try to challenge them on the road when I see em.And get spanked by stock evo's :-( but I am a nissan guy so I still love the r34
