I a 93 ls 5 speed. And i was wondering if there were any fairly easy/cheap mods other than basic i/h/e. Im about to have a stage 1 excedy clutch put in and a 10 or 12 lb excedy chromoly flywheel put in. I have cai and cat back exhaust and am about to put in a header and hi flow cat. Other than that i was wondering if there was anything else that doesnt require engine removal like possibly bigger fuel injectors, new distributor, platinum plugs, new plug wires, aftermarket coilpack maybe some kind of chip and some tuning? Would that make much of a difference?

Maintenance, tuned ecu, nitrous, better tires and wheels, and you can remove all the stupid shit like a/c and p/s

Once you get into those mods, you will be spending way more than is beneficial.. Stock Honda ignition systems can handle way more than bolt on power. Do like og suggested and remove shit. Then focus on suspension/tires. Just make sure everything is in tip top shape ie brakes and shit.

Ps is ok, but no a/c kind of sucks if you live anywhere it gets hot, dealing with it right now, need to recharge it

I live in alabama where its 90 to 110 degrees all spring and summer so no ac is a little rough, but ps i can live without. So chips and tuning with basic bolt ons arent worth the trouble

And yeah its my dd. Ill prob keep all my unneccessary stuff lol. My integra has been the most relable dd ive ever had. I f***ing love it. Its got 250000+ on it and still runs like a beast. I traded a jeep for it bout a year ago and im so glad i joined the club. 2 days ago a guy in a 2000 or so accord vtec pulled up next to me and said "whats up? Whatchu got?" And with a quarter million miles and a fried clutch i still took a sh** on him. Bout 2 car lengths ahead by the time i switched to 3rd

But if anyone can help me figure out why my teg is running so rich i would appreciate it. If i let it idle for a while i see a thin greyish fog seeping from my exhaust and the exhaust smells very strong. Smells like ur standing next to a 69 charger lol. My interstate mpg is good but city mpg is not so great

No, bigger injectors will not do shit if you have no real engine work and will require a tune to even use them. Everything else you listed won't really do much either. The only thing listed that I would recommend is a proper tune. A good tune can help a little bit and is decent for the cost.

You have to pay to play. Nothing cheap will add big power gains. You can however get a Type R transmission. It is about 1000-1300 and you will see massive gains from it and it doesnt require opening up your motor or a tune. People overlook transmission upgrades even though they are equally important.

Yeah, a cable first gen b16 or b17 tranny will work out better for him. Won't have to do a cable to hydro conversion. They are just harder to find.

And it would be cheaper?

Yes, if you can find one. Not having to do the cable to hydro conversion makes it cheaper.

If you are talking about your car though then a hydro b16 will be cheaper, but wont have the LSD that the type r has. His is DA, yours is DC
