okay have a 90 DA9 i bought it two days ago.

ive cleaned the acv and put rtv on the o-rings (oil in plugs)

yesterday it idled at 1000 to 1200 which was alot better than it was when i got it. 1000 to 3000 flux.
then i go to start it up today and its back at 2800 idle.

i have another acv off a obd2 intake will that work? also it dosent have a intake right now. could that be the cause of it? or no. im making a intake for it out of old turbo piping. and putting a breather on the head. anyone with info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks club.

check all the vacuum lines... the intake manifold you use should be paired with the ECU and ODB type you have. as far as the IACV best practice would be to use one from the same IM

start mickey mousing parts together like a frankenstein and u never gonna get to the bottom of your issue...

Go over the intake with brake cleaner and look for bubbles. If the car idles down when you spray it with brake cleaner you have a vaccum leak. Also another thing to do, go over the intake and see if all of the bolts are tightened down including the ones on the throttle body. I had this problem and come to find out I was missing a bolt on the underside of my throttle body. You can also take the vaccum hoses off of the intake manifold and plug the nipples to see if it's just your vaccum lines that might be leaking. If you don't have a vaccum leak, I could possibly be that you need a new IACV.

well right now it up on jack stands needs new calipers all the way around. 230 bucks unless anyone has some calipers i can buy from them. but ill try that in the morning. i cant afford to buy a new one so probly just go to a junk yard and buy like 2 or 3 of them and keep some in stock incase it goes out again.

could it be the tps or the fitv?
You should be able to adjust the TPS without having to adjust the voltage running to the sensor itself. If my memory serves me correctly you don't have to.

your car is ODB0 so slapping an ODB2 intake on is only going to create more issues... for your car you need to run with the PR4 intake and ODB0 Distributor ( assuming the ECU hasn'r been upgraded)
