Some fun stuff

Well I am new to the import world, and have always loved the DA's. I just got a stock clean titled DA Special Edition that i am currently doing what I can to get it registered and my daily driver. I will most likely put some different rims on it, maybe coil overs, I used to have a slammed car and I don't want to go back to that so I am not sure. I will be doing some stereo upgrades since I spend about 3 hours a day in SoCal traffic. Here are just the teaser pics. Below is my other project which is a 2000 Chevy Camaro Z28, it's an LS1 engine with heads and cam, different intake, full exhaust (race headers with no emissions provisions) through a 3in exhaust with a magnaflow muffler. I recently pulled the built auto and 3800 stall converter in favor of a t56 manual 6 speed trans and will be working on a turbo build.

Without further ado

And the other car

No I am not one of those domestic only people I appreciate cars in general, I just happen to love Camaro's they have been my favorite forever.

I look forward to possibly making it out to a local Integra meet or something, I will bring the DA9 and leave the camaro sleeping in the garage. :)

Ohhh yeah the wheels will be changed I am thinking som Fat 5's I like their clean look, at least they look clean and simple to me. I am looking into the F&F coilovers but I might just go with some drop springs and some good shocks. I don't want the car to bounce all over the place though so I will be doing some research.

The camaro is fun it is my daily driver right now I have over 160 passes on it with a best 1/8 time of 7.42 at 92.5mph and when I was dumb I had taken on some mid 11 second cars and won by about a half a car so if I were to bench race the 1/4, I am guessing it's an 11.5 second car, and it still has full interior AC and stereo.

Thanks I bought it about 4.5 years ago it's a trip to see how cheap they are now since I remember when they came out was in high school and I remember going to the dealership and seeing them brand new and now I own one.

And yes it will yank the tire a little with the front sway bar removed and some good sticky tire out back, it will do a 1.60 60' on bone stock suspension.

I might sell it and get a pre smog camaro and do my turbo build on that since I have to "friendly" smog this one lol. :suprise:

Ahh ground control does make some good stuff, guys who road course their camaro/firebird use ground controls.

I don't want too low, when I was younger (17-24) I had a Grand Am that I had 2.25" lowering springs on and that things was so damn stiff, it did well on spirited canyon runs but sucks over bumps and drive ways.

Well it looks like the head gasket is shot... damn time to replace that now too. I knew it was too good of a deal for a decent running Integra under $1900....

Symptoms that lead me to believe this, I was driving it to get smogged so I kept getting on it to warm it up, and this car has some pep to it, it is better than my wifes OZ rally Lancer, anyways I go to park the car at the house to get some paperwork after driving around looking for an open smog shop and low and behold I see coolant pissing out the overflow, so I check the temp gauge, and sure as crap from a monkey its Hot Hot Hot.

Well time to tear it down and see what I can do, hell maybe get a 5 angle valve job on the head and clean up a wiring mis hap.

Thanks I am going to need it. It was over 90 degrees yesterday so working on the car really did suck lol.

Welcome, nice DA and nice camaro

Posted from my build thread

Thank you, I am hoping to get this DA going soon.

Ohhh and anyone looking to buy the window motor from Autozone, it is a piece of shit, they clip the plug off and give you cheap easy splices to use. I was so pissed yesterday, I am hoping I can go back here and see if they have my core so I can cut the plug off.

I am on there as well, I will be looking at the process for doing the head gasket, I am hoping it hasn't warped anything.
