Rear wiper delete, vision afterwards.

I'm considering deleting the rear wiper when I start bodywork over the summer, but I was wondering if anyone has problems seeing out of the rear window while it's raining afterwards.

Has anyone run into this problem?

I kind of do, until i turn my wipers on. You could put the rear "defroster", it helps the rain roll down a teensy bit easier

I do fine without it.

Dont do it! Just to go against the grain.

I still have my rear wiper, and i live in so cal, so i really dont use it too much except to clear my window in the morning.
I know a lot of people to this for wieght reduction, however if wieght reduction really mattered, i would start running and loose 40 pounds.

I can see out the back the 5 days a year it rains.

if you do it, just use Rain-X on your rear windshield, that will keep the rain from impeding your visibility.

I never had any problems in the rain. Sometimes snow got a little annoying but it was never a problem with the defroster. Put some Rain-X on it like Bkirshr said and the rain will roll right off. Looks way better without the wiper.

I want to do this too but the panel covering the interior of the hatch gives me nightmares
Ditto.

One of the reasons I'm wanting to delete it is because I want to throw on a rear visor. I wasn't sure if the wiper would hit it if I left it on.

i have no issues, and the wiper will not hit the duck bill. I would get a metal plug rather than the plastic one.

Somebody who has theirs deleted should pull their plug and measure the window hole for me :) lol.
