I've had a dream were I got off from work and it looked like my lights were on and battery was dead. I try to start my car and it doesn't do anything. I look under the hood to see if something is not right and my engine is gone. Then I realize that my car is sitting much higher than it was before, and my suspension was replaced with mismatched parts. Then I woke up.

i'd love to do a kill switch, but i also have a remote start..kind of defeats the purpose. I know there are ways to wire it to where it will work, but it confuses me

I'm with ya, pluckt. I live on a farm in Canada, my car is safe at home, haha. I will be doing kill switches and possibly another neat trick I have in mind when the weather warms up. Just getting going on the upgrades so it'll be good to get security out of the way now for any trips I make to the US.

Been paranoid since my first whip was broken into and almost stolen..........then it was just mainly broken into to steal my CD deck and other stuff....:cry:

Where i live i dont have to worry to much, if i drove a truck that would be a different story. most of the ppl in my small town hate my car, however when i roll into a more populated area to see my GF i get plenty of looks and hate to leave it alone.

the chewed up bumper tends to work in my favor tho, even at car meets ppl tend to think its just junk. im never gunna rest easy once it gets repainted

Seeing as my first integra was stolen right out of my driveway. It was parked in front of my dads boat! It was bone stock at that time besides gsr 6 blades and a cd player..... ya very paranoid. Since then if I even have a dream in my sleep about it I jump up and check on my baby. I did re cover my first one but eventually lost it to the cops years later. My current one has an alarm with a back up battery :D

I've driven 20 miles out of my way because someone was following me. I just started driving around aimlessly until they gave up. I never pull into my neighborhood if someone has been following me for 1 turn. If they turn in with me, I go around the block and leave.

If I think someones following me I never go straight home either, and If I know they're really following me home,(my street is one way in one way out) I'll stop and look at them. I've even stopped and started reversing when this truck of guys were following me and they stopped and turned around!:p

I used to all the time when I had my DB1... Twice when I was in High School. I would go to my car in the morning to see my CD's thrown around in the car (I never kept anything in it).

Another time I had problems starting the DB so I would have to cross 2 screw drivers from power to starter to get a spark that would start it... So on lazy nights when I would just run into 711 for a minute I would lock the doors, take off the quick release wheel and put it on the floor in the back seat (5% tint) but leave her running. I came out and saw a guy with a key in my door trying to jingle it open... He got an unpleasant surprise. I only ran in for no more then 2 minutes to buy a pack of cigarettes.

I got tired of going anywhere where my DB1 would be in a parking lot expecting to come back and the car would be gone or stripped... It is very easy to make a jingle key for any older Honda, I made one when I was in high school out of curiosity. It opened my door, started the DB1 a friends 95 GSR and opened the door on a CD7 we had in our body shop class... I broke the key in half before throwing it out just be safe.

So I fixed my issue by selling my DB1 and buying newer vehicles with framed windows, key transponders and full coverage insurance so now all i worry about is door dings... The DB1 ended up getting stolen after selling it to a friend with the kill switch I installed, quick release wheel and 2 way pager alarm.

My area has a lot of lakes so there are a lot of different routes that people don't normally drive to get from where the meets are to where I live. I take the longer and indirect routes so if someone follows me for more than 2 or 3 of these turns I start driving way out of the way. My neighborhood has one way in too, and I live off of the main neighborhood road. I've had someone following me around so I drove past my neighborhood for like 10 min and started driving in circles. After the 2nd or 3rd circle they gave up and left :lol:


I remember a story on here a while ago of someone with a JDM front end parking at a casino. When he came back out to leave he saw that someone stole his entire front end. Not the whole car, just the JDM front end.

I didn't used to be paranoid. But after my friends em1 was stolen I have been. And yesterday someone stole my truck in the middle of the day. We chased him down and got it back though. Thieves are brave/stupid so I am super paranoid now.
