VirginDB8's Not So Build Thread

Hello CI, I'm new to this site and new to Acura as a car in general. I've always owned Honda vehicles in generally really. I know they are the same company but after owning both now I see many differences. Apples to oranges really. Anyways, so I just bought the car yesterday and really i was looking for a Honda Civic hatchback 96-00. I came across this beauty by chance couldn't pass it up (I mean I may not have had a thing for Integras in general, but I would have been stupid to pass this deal up.) I would like to know what direction I'd like to go with the car first. Ideas and comments very welcomed. pictures kind of help me make my mind on what i want. But honestly I have no clue as to where to start. Not to mention I'm so broke its not even funny! This will without a doubt be a very slow build... I have a crappy job and I have a ton of bills at the moment. So for now I will just be picking apart the car for cleanliness while I save money for ideas on what to do with the car. So without further delay, Here is my 100% untouched down to the last bolt 1995 Acura Integra GS-R.

My first time filling up a car with 91 octane. This car is growing on me more and more by the second!

The interior needs some love and sourced parts, but definitely an awesome find. And just under $4k I couldn't believe it! I'll have some more pics later.

Bath time!!!!!!!!!

Shots of the interior. I brought her home around 10 last night and I stayed up until 2 cleaning her out. I have work in the morning too....

Any recommendations as to whats the best cleaning product to clean the dirt and grime off of the inside of the bonnet and engine bay? That pressure washer really didn't do anything....

Just needs a little TLC on the interior.

Look into purple power for the dirt and grime.

Cleaned my headlights with a bit of polishing compound tonight... actually worked really well and cut through a lot of oxidation. Will have pictures in the morning.

NICE pickup, looks really good, and clean!

AND WELCOME TO CI!
Thank you! I don't have the money to buy those performance parts that everyone seems to be buying. I'm going for a ultra clean OEM look with a lowered profile, and then try to build from there.

I don't have a before and after photo, But you can tell by the previous pictures that they are a lot better. Night visibility has definitely increased.

Do you see that hose with that little dark spot on it? that's a leak... coolant to be specific. The hose seems to be running into the intake manifold. I don't know where the hose is going though. Can anyone tell me what it is? I'm hoping to get it fixed tonight if possible.

Also would it cause the car not to get to temp? I also just started having that problem as well.
