Rough estimate to properly tune and turbo B18A1?

Looking for my next Teg..
you would be better off saving your money kid.

learn to drive a stick shift 1st and foremost. it really isn't hard & will make your life much easier down the road if you want to seriously get into tweaking and building up cars.

another bit of advice... don't be afraid to take on mechanical repair / upgrades... saying anything is too hard is admitting defeat and making the excuse for yourself to wuss out.

You don't get to learn form not trying.... and if yu goof something up you get to learn more from fixing the goof.

in the 30+ years since my pop first handed me a wrench I have definitely messed up my share of s*** LOL... but all said and done I am glad I did and got to learn :)

In all honesty- turbocharging a Honda is NOT hard work. You bolt on the manifold, attach a few oil lines, install some new piping and it's on. The hardest part is probably changing the injectors and towing it to the tuner, lol.

My conservative estimate is $5000. I can, and have, spent a lot more. That's turbocharging your stock motor with head studs.

$3000 on a turbo kit from Go-Autoworks. Best bang for your buck.
$100 Walbro 255lph fuel pump.
$200-400 at least 440cc injectors.
$500 dyno tune.
$80-$500 Hondata S300. (You can go cheaper routes.)
$150 ARP Head Studs
$50 New head gaskets.
$300 to upgrade your clutch. (Assuming you stick with the manual- automatic+turbo=no go.)

You can save money sourcing used parts, you can spend more money buying better brands (or simply not knowing where to buy.)

I suggest you research unless you're planning to pay someone to do the whole car for you.

EDIT:
I forgot, you're going to need some exhaust work done too. See what I mean, $5000 is conservative.

EDIT EDIT:
Actually the hardest part is probably installing the ARP head studs. But I have a very detailed How-To on how to change your Head Gasket.)

Thanks. That's actually great advice. I just really want my Integra to be the way I envision it in my head. That's why I'm trying to put some rough figures in my head to think about.

Thats actually a lot of great info. I would try to get as much installed as I can with the help of some of my uncles who are car guys/mechanics. A helms manual could take me pretty far too.

Street kit would be my guess for your setup. You should give them a call. Best customer service around!
