Well got into another accident =/

It happened yesterday. Was checking my blind spot to get over to get on my exit to get home from work and as i looked back over the person a couple cars ahead had slammed on their brakes and then the guy in front of me slammed on his and as he slammed on his is when i started looking forward again from checking my blind spot and i hit my brakes but couldnt stop in time. He was in a 2011 explorer and being that my car is so low i slid right under him and his left rear tire came up over my driver side of the bumper, headlight and fender. Had one of the senior techs from the shop who did machine work/body work for years looks at everything and he said it can be saved. Need to pull the front end about an inch and straighten out the driver side of the frame where fender bolts on, the while engine bay is perfectly fine nothing happend to the motor to tranny and so far my suspension up front is fine too. car starts right up and doesnt make any weird noises and actually seems to drive fine. Parts im going to need are a driver side fender, bumper, hood, headlights, windshield, radiator, hood latch and bumper lights

Damn. Good thing your ok. I'd say go jdm front if you have to buy a whole new front end

i dont have the money right now to do a jdm front end =/. need to just get usdm parts quick so i can get it fixed and no no real bad frame damage, fraim rails are good and core supprt is alright, just needs to be straightened out. Guy from the shop has stuff to do body work and my dad is good friends with a guy who owns a collision center here and so first we are going to do what all we can ourselves and then take it to him to perfect it so getting all that done wont cost me a lot luckily. Its jsut finding the parts thats going to be a pain

yeah 98+ bumpers in good condition are hard to find around here -_- but so far i did find ads on craigslist about a place parting out a couple integras, ones a 99 and the other is a 01 so tomorrow im going to hit them up about the bumper and headlights. Hood and fenders ive found already. Hood for $80 and both fenders with side markers for $60, no rust or dents on them as far as i can tell. The real tricky part is getting a windshield

i had a 98-01 front end. Idk why but when i search for 1998 integras for sale around my area some have my rear bumper and some have the other one its weird but im going to replace that sometime down the road. the car is an original 98 GSR, also went on my local forum site called tamparacing.com and found a guy selling a 2000 front end for $350

Damn s***ty business. Good thing youre fine and pretty lucky theyre saying its salvageable. Can you take a closer look at the headlights? Im wondering if the low beam chrome bezels can be salvaged. More than likely the tabs are busted on the housing but take note of the damage and report back.

Some people like the pre 98 bumpers better or just had to replace one themselves for the cheaper old version.

Yeah even though its wrecked atm in a way im lucky cause things could have been a lot worse. The headlights though arent useable, especially the driver side. The passenger side i was hoping was alright but when i took a closer look it was all busted up inside.Tomorrow im going to a couple junk yards that i saw had ads for parting out 98+ integras and both were he same color as my car. Just hoping they have the front ends still and if nothing else i did find a guy locally selling a complete 2000 front end for $350 all primed and ready for paint with slightly smoked headlights. Im hoping this weekend to have the majority of parts and then sunday going to get started with pulling and straightening everything out and place the body panels on to help line everything up. One of he guys helping me printed out a sheet showing the dimensions of the front end so we can get everything as close to perfect as we can and then take it to my dads friends collision center to really perfect it and save some money. Found a collision center not far from me that still has their special going of starting $399 for paint jobs and includes a 5 year warrenty. Car might not be fixed for a month though because of limited time with work and school

Damn sorry to hear the bad news. The hood looks like it was chewed up by robots from an alternate world. I'm glad to hear its repairable and that you're okay though :thumbs up

I wanted to nab the chrome low beam bezels if they werent damaged. Depending on whats actually broken that you need to replace i may have spare parts if you arent getting the headlights in a package.

Thanks man i appreciate it. Like i said today im going to hit up these 2 salvage/junk yards i found on craigslist first, if they still have the car and front end (which i kinda doubt) and i have to pay a little but more then so that i dont have to get a paint job then im going probably buy everything today. That guy with the CF hod i texted like 2 weeks ago asking about that and sent him an email and never heard anything back

drivers one is completely broken up and to get it off and out i kinda had to break it a bit more because it was wedged and wouldnt come off, the passenger one though i will take a pic of and show you
