Please give me some advice!

Hello everyone! This is my very first post here on CI. So here's a little background info. I just turned 16 and am starting to save for a car. I think integras are awesome and right now that's my first pick as to what I want. Since I have to completely pay for the car on my own and I'm only in high school, I have a very low budget. I was looking around on craigslist and found this: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/cto/3645236021.html

Anyone input. I know the mileage is high but I looked around on here and everyone says Integras will last forever. I would definitely be able to afford this one and I'm really interested. Once I get the car I plan on doing upgrades as I get the money and learning how to do them and work on cars.

Please give me any input..... what you think about the car, if I should find something else, is this good for the money, etc.

Thanks and have a great day

The mileage isnt high I have 240k on my LS, you might want to look for a 5 speed if you plan on doing upgrades and stuff. Looks like a good deal but theres not enough info, you need to go look at it and see if its a clean title and whatnot.

It looks like a good start. 140k isn't really that high on an integra. I say jump on it and if you get it, get smaller wheels.

Also, make sure you have somone who knows things about cars to take a look at it. For that price, something may be wrong with it.

EDIT: I didn't see it was an automatic :/ So 140k is kinda high for an auto. I suggest looking at lower mileage auto integras or just buy a manual and learn.

The LS is a solid DD. Paired with a manual trans it can go forever. The weak point in high mileage hondas is usually the auto trans, so keep away from that..

As for everything else I can't say...I never owned an LS. Aside from the usual rust, title, paint.

I'm almost at 130k on my auto trans. Stilk runs great. Just run royal purple trans fluid and you'll be set.

130k miles is a joke xD.
146k on the R
176k on my gsr
330k on f350
215k on f250

Its been a while since I've driven a vehicle with less than 100k..

Well, whoever said 140k on an auto is a lot, I beg to differ. Just change the trans fluid regularly and it'll be fine.

Looks good, but personally i dont bother when the ad has no info on the car, when they cant spell words properly, and when they are an autotragic lol

All the cars my family owned were auto and all had less than 110,000 miles, so to me, 140k seems high for an auto. I know its kinda stupid, but that's just my opinion.

I suggest you bring a mechanically inclined friend (yourself doesnt count, as you might overlook) and have him check it out. That PASS carpet looks like mine, in which the floor has become soaked after storm in my case, make sure you feel the floor for that. If you can, go somewhere to do 40 mph, and floor it for a couple seconds. If it revs way up then kicks in lower gear, auto trans is going out. And yes, Hondas last forever ....if you maintain it.

Ok thank you guys for all the feedback. Glad to see a lot of you are here to help out some newbies like myself. I currently don't know how to drive manual but I think I plan on learning now that you guys say the auto ones don't last as well. Autos are also harder to find. I most likely won't even go look at the one I posted. I'm just starting to look because I won't even have the money to buy one at least until summer. Once again thanks for the input and it would be great if you guys could post some more on here with some general info to look for when buying an integra or any used car for that matter.

Thanks
