No. Too many things wrong with the car. You need to have a good foundation for the project to end up the way you want it to.

Most things are just the interior, which I would completely re do anyways. I would just be getting the car for something to playwith. I would probably never even put the car on the road.

I dont think its worth buying a car if you're not gonna drive it. So what exactly are you gonna do with it if you're not gonna drive it?

Just teach myself how to do some things like body work. I would possibly put it on the road at a leter time or just sell it.

I would def get that for 1000, easy fixes, and your right it will be good to learn on. 1000 is cheaper then school.

Well it all depends on how much money you have. I personally wouldn't get it cause I like to save up my money and my family isn't really rich to support me.
So if you have enough money to fix up the civic, then go for it. When it's all good, you could sell it for more and make a profit, as well as getting more experience fixing cars.

I was talking to my mom about it, and she said it would be a good idea. Plus its 5 speed.

Sounds like it was rear-ended pretty hard if the trunk lid doesn't sit right. I wouldn't buy it if there is unibody damage. Otherwise It seems like a good project to learn on. And if something goes horribly wrong with the engine, just sell it for parts and you should be able to get at least 1000 back from it.
