ES300 foglight retro project

I wanted better output foglights, to match up with my s2k retro. After searching/asking people i found out that es300 fogs are similar size as my si vtec fogs. Than came time to search for parts on hidplanet. Found fogs for $25 (missing one lens

sense it was missing one lens I bought 2 new lens for another $20. and i plasticdip the outside for more stealth effect.

than came the tuff decisions about how to mount them. Use the uk brackets i have on the car already or find another set of uk bracket. Which i though would be impossible to find but R boy Fresh (another ukdm front owner) helped me out! I bought his extra set for $100.(uk fogs broken of course)

Couldnt get the old foglights out, tried everything... than talked to Johnymas(he put my s2k retro together) about it and he said he'd get them out an install the es fogs for me. so i took him up on his offer!

Finally time has come to install them on my car with Morimoto 3Five H3C 4300K bulbs that i also bought from hidplanet. They were $40, the next pics are just cell pics, ill get better when i get my camera back from the girlfriend.

Output pics

btw I DGAF about showing my plate

As you can see the passenger side is a tad higher(haha) and the bulbs look different colors. Fogs are mounted in same location as the uk fogs. Next up is to adjust the passenger side and put in the 3000K bulbs in place of the 4300K. Also might move the uk brackets up OR ask my brother to custom make bracket, so they fit better in the shroud. I'll get better pictures soon. and im going to wait until its summer to take off bumper again.

suggestion/comments are all welcome

Wonder if you could do this with 94-97 or 98-01 fogs?

Probably could with 94-7's maybe if you did some mad surgery. Or just use the whole housing like I plan to do.

I have ES' in my Grand Prix as well, love them.

I put blazzers in 94-97 fogs, the oem fog bracketry for them are kinda small, the blazzers just barely fit. Unless you fabricate something to put onto the bracket (retro on fabricated mount, fabricated mount onto bracket), then it could be very doable with ES.

Mounts on the brackets weren't broken(just foglight were destroyed) I plan on aiming rhe passaing by taking it off and useing long screws with bolt/washers and jb weld and if I need too bend the top portion of the ukdm bracket. Have couple options. Custom brackets might be the best choice, not sure yet.

You could put es300 in 94-97, that what fog I was useing before the es300. Also work with ek fogs. I have pdf "dyi" that's what started me thinking about this project. Lens are same size but lenght of projector are diffrent on integra fogs. Well fake projector in the 94-97. I don't know any foglight to retro in 98+ fogs, except maybe Piaa.

Blazzer fogs are way smaller than the 94-97, although lightput is amazing, as well with fusion fogs, but lens arn 2" so they'd leave a huge gap/hole in my rubber shroud. Because of the gap, I'm going to try to move the fog up more so more flush with my shroud.

XD @ fake projectors of 94. i know right, i was astonished that they were projectors, even more astonished how low grade they were smh

I thought ES were somewhat bigger than the blazzers, like a good bit. Hmm time to re-retro >=]

^^ from what i understand and gather this is the run down from biggest to smallest fog lens

ES300 > Blazer > Fusion

the es300 len is around 2" and the fusion is 1 3/4" lens. Although the fusion is by far the best fog projector out there on the market. mybuddy suggest that i should just bend the top portion of the fog bracket b4 i try adding spacers.. I do have extra set of uk brackets that ill play around with before i try it on the ones on the car. this retro stuff is addicting!
