really depends on who you talk to... everyone has an opinion on what they feel is best.
Koni/GC combo is good for street, if that is pricey, Tokico Illumina/ GC combo comes in about 2-300 bucks cheaper and is also pretty descent... If you are looking for coilovers like the Skunk2 Pro C series ( as an example) you are going to get alot of different opinions some of which are conflicting... SOme of which come from people that have had a great experience with onree tyoe and a complete fail with another and so on and so on and so on...
There is a discussion going on at G2iC.com (2nd generation specific forum) regarding coilovers... check this thread

This is your best bet for comfort and handling. You'll save a lot of money going this route too.ground control with koni yellow. get the middle of the range springs. done.

As far as a header any one will do as long as it is for your car. Take a DC Sports 4-2-1 header.... they make a different part number for the 90-91 or 92-93 or GSR they are also one of the only companies that makes a header that is CA legal. if you have no emissions laws or are in a state where you can do whatevery the fuck you want then look around. there are alot of options.

I had skunk2 2 lowering springs on my 94 and KYB GR-2 shocks that was the best setup up ever if felt like stock but you sat lower so itll still be comfy!
