Is this car a good buy???

I'm looking into buying an 02 rsx type s. Car is clean title, has 126k miles roughly, and it's all stock. However.... a cam sensor code is causing the check engine light to come on, he wants me to get it smogged because of it and it's due for registration. I guess the light came on before because he had to replace a broken cam gear or had someone do it I don't know for sure who did it. Also, needs some cosmetic work. THe craigslist ad is listed below. What do you think this car is worth and should I go for it? :)

I was offered 5000 for it before as well since he replied to my cl post I made sayi.g I wtb an rsxs.

I saw this thread and needed to vent lol my friend just bought a type s for 1800.. running and all, its in pretty decent shape..

I would pass. Seems fine and everything But I tend to stay away from posting that really dont say anything about the car. A big thing I would point out is that he doesnt say why he knows it needs a cam sensor, doesnt ssay hardly anything about the car, and has probably 5 times more keywords then he actually says describing the car.

Seems like he wants it gone and quick. Tends to mean something is wrong.

Okay first off he says needs a cam sensor. Somtimes they crank sometimes no, and possible rough running.
Cam sensors go out but i would pass he seems a little anxious and offered u a 1500 price drop from the go. Yea and try like 100$ for the sensor for oem replace. Shady man pass.
