So story goes....

I used to have a 96 Milano Red DC.
-ITR Sideskirts
-ITR Spoiler
-JDM B18C Spec R Motor
-Koni Yellow GC Coilovers Combo
-Front/Rear ITR Strut Bars
-OEM LS Wheels

Short version: Stolen, chopped and stripped to the bone. Nothing Left to recognize the car besides the quarter panels and windows.

After 2 years I decided to get back into the game. Not really by choice but just by chance.

And in the spirit of gameshow hosts, Here is my NEW CARRRRRRR!

Well maybe not new but it's a 1997 Integra LS.
-14 inch Honda Steelies
-Factory Spec Blown Speakers
-Factory Radio
-Aftermarket sub and amp installed with high-low filter
-Unmodified B18B1 Engine (180,000Mi. Fixed gaskets and seals)
-Extra Drain holes which looked like what remained of an aftermarket non-OEM Spoiler
-no-name catback Exhaust.
-Broken Passenger Door handle
-Blown Shocks
-But AC works and so does heat

Car archaelogy uncovered a couple of seedy items.
-3/4 of a Birth Control package leftover from previous owner
-Up to my neck in Cigarette Ash and human filith all over the seats

So next projects coming up...

-ITR Stock suspension installation to rid myself of blown factory junk
-Rear Trailing arm bushing install
-Wheels and tires
-General maintenance on the car.

looks like a good start! any plans for the near future?

tip for the human filth: if you don''t have one, rent one of those carpet cleaners with a hose attachment, and use it on your seats. Your mind will be blown at the color of the water that comes out..also, I heard from a friend who is a detailer, that hand sanitizer can get any funny smells out. even if the car was smoked in

Haha yeah that's actually already the plan. Getting one of those rent-a carpet cleaners from the grocery store with the upholstery wand.

As far as projects go nothing major yet. Going to take the same route as my 96 Milano Red DC (Besides it getting stolen).

This week I'm going to be popping out the old RTA bushings and replacing them with brand new OEM Honda bushings. From what I read, recent updates on those bushings are they're similar if not same quality as the mugen bushings now.

Secondly, Replace the blown suspension since I'm scraping all over the place, even over small bumps in the road.
Figure I'd go with simple stock for now, getting a hold of some ITR Shocks/Suspension w/ the rear LCA's. And the contingency plan is ordering new bolts for LCA's if I was unlucky enough to get bolts that are rusted shut.

Alright So I got a couple of goodies in the mail the other day.

2000 JDM ITR Shocks and Rear LCA
Energy Suspension Shifter Bushings
RTA Bushings

Should have a couple pics up soon. So far I finished out the rears. Feels solid, finishing the fronts and I'll post pics.

Alright so got to work... first off the ITR LCA's, and front and rear shocks. Low mileage but definitely raised my car up about 1 inch over the blown shocks.

Lots of CRC Freeze Off, a Dewalt Impact Wrench and Breaker bar with 3hrs hours yields swapped sportier OEM suspension

RTA Bushings were next. Back end was flopping all over the place. Great thing was I had my honda bushing removal tool. Makes this 20x easier and faster. That and a 1/2" Impact Wrench

Real Nasty old RTA Bushing

Brand New RTA Bushing!

Car handles great now. I think any Teg owner needs to do these for sure, unless they're going aftermarket suspension. But for Now sticking with OEM suspension till funds are raised to do everything correctly and quality.

Alright got to work on just one thing today. Shift Stabilizer Bushings from Energy suspension

The Offending OEM shaky POS bushings....

Lots of pushing and shoving of pushings into collars and such...

Front Bushing next to tranny

Shift Stabilizer

Feels real solid. Yet to try it out with some hard driving. Guess I'll see tonight at work.

Happy Hump Day CL
