Thanks.

Well I am back from Colorado and back from Las Vegas. Picked up my block from Blake a couple hours ago. So it is officially in my possession. Can't wait to get this bad boy in there! This weekend is going to be busy lol.

Speaking of which. Does anybody need an OBD2 alternator? The block came with one and I have no use for it(unless I want to cut and splice and obd2 plug on to it but nah. So I would be willing to sell it if somebody wants it. I will be posting up a list of stuff I have for sale soon. I would prefer local(ish) people. I don't want to deal with paypal or shipping.

Didn't get much done today. Had a late start..actually didn't get started until 6pm. So far all I have done is get the head off and drain fluids. I also cleaned the head up a little bit. Forgot to get pics of the before...but they were pretty caked..combustion chamber still is.
Here are the pics:

Ports cleaned up pretty easily. Chamber is being a bitch like I said.

Look how caked the plugs were:

I don't even think the pic does it justice.

Got a lot done today. Had a few issues again today(One cam cap bolt was stretched luckily I had one randomly chilling in my stash, stuck flywheel bolts, missing tools cause of brothers, etc) but resolved them.
Cleaning the combustion chambers was a bitch!

Finished Product:

Got the block and tranny out today:

Transferring the ARP main studs from the old block to the new block. (I combined all the good stuff from both of my blocks in to one block.)

I found something very interesting when I took apart my old block

Good thing I got the new block when I did. No telling how much longer that main bearing was going to last..It is weird it didn't spin, it just got fucked up. It is like it is too small for the journal..yet it fit fine when installed...lol oh well

Stuck flywheel bolts are never fun. Propane torch to the rescue!

Torch wasn't enough. Had to call in reinforcements...my life saver

Combined powers got the job done! lol

Block and tranny installed. Also Changed my axle seals for the hell of it.

Head on!

Cams installed and time to call it a night!

Got what I wanted done today. Tomorrow is button up, put fluids in, and start this bad boy.

PS: I am so damn tired and low on energy. Doing this when sick sucks.

Hah thanks guys. And tom my engine bay isn't that dirty. Mostly dirt and scratches. Not oil and gunk lol.

Got the car done today. It is up and running. Compression tested at 245-250 across the board! Ironically it is smoking more now...but it smells like fuel, not oil. In fact it smells and looks the same as it did before I got my first tune. Hoping tune takes care of it! lol Scheduled to tune at Racline USA on Friday.

Figured I would pour oil all over the head before putting the VC. Mmmm green oil. :p

Here it is all done.
