forgot yeah it went obd2 to obd1Posibly converted to OBD1, which would mean the scanner doesn't work.
Same thing happened when to Acura dealer attempted to plug in their machine, but it saved me a $70 service fee.
If you have a p28 on a 97 LS then its most deff obd1. Sadly to be able to read it through the port you'd have to get a STOCK obd2a ecu.
ugh.. ill try again next week. hate driving 35 miles to do this haha -_\\I was thinking that too...is he gonna crank your car up or anything like that? If not you can plug in the OBD2 ecu and as long as you don't crank the car with it in there it won't throw any codes or mess your car up...
can i find someone with same gen integ obd2 and have them smog for me but use my vin ?Only way is to use an obd2 ecu
its cuz the wires are re'pinned and i dont want to go about with the wires again >_<I dont get how chipped OBD1 users dont understand the implications of this.
Theres no reason why you cant run a stock OBD2 vtec ecu to pass smog with.
