Every major player is over there right now. Lol. Even photographers like stickydiljoe and Klingelhoeffer. I'm jealous of them.

Nikon d5000. It's a decent starter dslr camera. I'm nowhere near Joe or Peara's skills on using the camera though. Haha.

I think I'll be using my cellphone for a while longer...That's a hella expensive camera lol

side note, do the cameras like that nikon coolpics work reasonably well? I mean they're obviously in a different league as that d5000, but do those types of cameras have decent quality?

You can get great pics out of the smaller compact class of cameras. Depends on the settings you choose and where and how you shoot. :thumbs up

Or you can buy my D3100. $400 OBO. Lol

Nikon - Coolpix L610 16.0-Megapixel Digital Camera

Fujifilm - FinePix S4300 14.0-Megapixel Digital Camera

Those are both $150 at best buy lol. Unfortunately 400 is a bit extreme for me lol.
My only worry is the quality of the photos on those two cameras. I'll probably never shoot for anyone seeing as texas has more photographers than fat people, and thats saying something. But I do want my pictures to look decent or at least better than cell phone quality.

For one $150 I don't think you can go wrong with either. You should look at jznsn2u thread. He's taken some great pics with all classes of cameras.

Sometimes I want to go back to the Momo Shadow carbon knob...but I can't bring myself to swap it because of the price tag on the Mooogen knob. Ugh.
