92 integra ls.. first off the oil light stays on sometimes its really dim sometimes its dark, and sometimes it flashes. so from what ive read its possible a bad oil pressure switch.. where is this located on the motor? so i can replace it and c if that helps..car has fresh castrol and lucas oil and fram filter still doing it.. runs great just like it should no funny noises......

next is my check engine light.... it comes on usually after driving it for a couple minutes... so i went to try and find the 2 pin connector down by the ecu and and i coudnt find one... so i went to autozone to get them to do the diagnostic check and they couldnt cause of the year... so heres my ? does anyone know where the 2 pin connector is on a 92 da? would the oil light staying on have any thing to do with my check engine light coming on? they are both pretty much always on.

It's more likely that your engine is dangerously low on oil pressure than the oil sensor is bad. Get an oil pressure gauge on it ASAP! And the ECU is not aware of oil pressure so the CEL is not related. I don't know where the two pin connector is but I'm sure you could google it. It's probably on the passenger kick panel by the door.

Is the light ALWAYS on? If it only comes on at idle then Id belive oil pressure is low. If the light is always on then the pressure switch (or wiring) may be bad. Google a service manual for your car it will show you where the oil pressure switch is located and how to test it. It will be on the intake side of the block between the oil pump and oil filter.

No you would not be able to tell.

If you have done regular oil changes I don't think you have a bad pump .

The sensor is on the back of the block right above the oil filter .
You remove the oil filter and you can get it . Just put a socket on and turn it out .

When replacing use some Teflon tape on the treads for a good seal and do not turn it in all the way in . Put it about the same spot as it was before you removed it.

Also check the wiring to the sensor it could have gotten broken or rotten

It's the cheapest fix and easiest to cross off the list . If it does not change then you can diagnose more .

yea the light has been on since i got car 2 months ago.. doesnt matter if its idleing or driving its on. most time solid dark, but some times its real dim and occasoinally it flashes

The connector to pull codes is near the seat belt control module in the kick panel area. It's there.... Just feel around for it and you will find it. And as for losing oil changing the switch.. You will lose oil once you take that out.... Lol. If you wanna keep your oil in, be my guest. Just buy a bag of kitty litter to clean up all that oil lol.

You actually don't lose your oil by removing the sensor.

Really, what's between it? Figured you would considering I replaced that with braided line which shoots oil to my gauge at 80-90 psi lol.
