radiator oil auto trans

just installed new radiator in my auto 92 da. where does the oil in the bottom of rad come from? how much do i need to add and where thanks guys

It's automatic transmission fluid my dude. The radiator has an a/t cooler built in.

Lol you don't add oil to it. The transmission fluid from your auto trans runs through the rad to get cooled. Just make sure your tranny fluid is fine and you're set.

It sounds like he leaked oil out when he pulled his old radiator and is wondering where to put the new fluid. In which case that would be his automatic transmission..

...if that is what happened.

Yes. The radiator that cools the engine coolant also has a compartment to cool the transmission fluid on an auto.
