Painting my girlfriend's fender

Welp, picked it up today. First pic but I'll have better ones later. This guy did an AMAZING job on it. Looks perfect. Zero orange peel look. My girlfriend could do her makeup with the reflection lol. The dots in the pic are water droplets since it was raining when I picked it up.

that looks awesome :thumbs up
MOAR pics :D

This guy did a fantastic job. He's been restoring antique cars for over 25 years. Would recommend anyone in this area to him in a heartbeat. The smudge in one of the pics is from my jacket lol.

Gonna put it on her car Christmas day for her present :) pics will follow.

looks really good. when you put it on the car, it might not match completely/ might be off in color. You have to blend onto the door and hood. so it wont be noticeable.

Yeah I thought about that and my gf said she doesn't care. She'd rather have a fender that's slightly a different color than one that's smashed in a rusted lol

And it's on. Just finished it. there's not really too much of a difference but once I wash wax and buff the rest of the car it'll look better. He also told me I can use rubbing compound after it's sat in the sun for a few days if I want it to be super shiny.

oh right I forgot to post that here. haha. I wound up messing up the paint and didn't have time to redo it before christmas. Long story short a lady my girlfriend works with has a husband that had been doing body work and antique car restoration for over 25 years. Used to work at a dealership in the body shop. He works from home now and charges only $25/hr so supplies + labor costed me a total of $125 as opposed to a body shop's quote of $250. He had it done in a day and a half. And it's noticeable up close but from a distance you can't tell unless you really look at it. A good wash wax and buff on the rest of the car minus the fender will make it look better.
