I went from 1 to 2 to D3 to D4. If I would've thought about it, that would've been my clue that it was a 4-speed, ha-ha.
you don't need to go from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4..

just D3 to D4.. it does pretty well at shifting from 1 to 2 to 3 when you plant your pedal.. then you pull on D3 till redline and then upshift to D4..

1 and 2 are first and second gear respectively ONLY (if you are in 1, you will only ever be in 1st. 2, you will only ever be in 2nd.) D3, will go through gears 1, 2, and 3 (like normal), but not go into 4th. D4 goes through all 4 gears.

I'm going to be pulling my engine this week to get to the transmission and clutch. Any tips?

1. you dont need to pull the whole engine. 2. if you do, tape all connections and label them/ color code them. Makes it soooo much easier to reconnect. 3. empty the trans before you take it out, otherwise you're gunna have a bad time. 4. Are you doing a 5 speed swap or just screwing with the auto?
Hope this helped

Also does anyone or anyone know someone who wants a set of chrome euro taillights? They are in really good shape!
