But hey im jus an "old guy" as one of the previous post stated but im tellin u either teg or the stang chicks love power i know im almost 30 ya ya i know gramps on here

And if I had to choose, I'd go with the 'Stang most definitely.
Instead of getting your current transmission rebuilt, why don't you look for a good condition GSR tranny and swap it in instead? It'd be cheaper, more aggressive, and it'll handle more power. You may even get an LSD out of the deal. :)

Fords are pieces of Shit. Basically, american cars are not very reliable, European cars are expensive to maintain, but Japanese cars are the best choice. They are more affordable to maintain and reliable.

Also, insurance for these cars will kill you. And the mustang is rwd, so if you get a lot of snow, then make sure you get good winter tires...

That's a smart decision. You can always buy a better car when you have a better job and have more experience.

Charly[horse] and Mike are both right. You made the right choice. (1) You already have it. (2) You've already spent a lot of money on it making it your own. (3) You have all the tools readily accessable to fix the transmission. (4) good conditioned used transmissions are readily available on the cheap.
