Replace Power Steering Rack

Does anyone have instructions on how to change the power steering rack on an '89 Integra, or know what it entails? $700 quote from a shop that I would like to avoid, if possible.

I know with the 3rd gen, it's easier to pull the motor out and do it, that's why I'm just looping my power rack to make it manual

uhhh i dunno about that. my shop did it for dirt cheap and took less than 3 hours, had it on the lift. no motor removed lol

no, sorry. I had dropped it off at lunch & picked it up after I got off work. wish I had more info to share.. your best bet may be to shop around for different quotes.

My advice for anyone doing anything on a G1 is take your time. They arent quite as simple to work on as any other honda I have worked on. There is tons of side bolts for everything in this car. Thats really the only advice that I can give is just take your time with it and dont get mad at it. Pick up a user manual too, might help the process
