Tire size for lowered integra

Hello,

I have searched but haven't found anything for my exact question. I have a 95 Integra LS on stock 15" LS mesh rims. I am about to purchase the f&f type 1 coilovers. I was wondering if a 205/50/15 tire would suffice? Maybe a 205/45/15? I am trying to eliminate the rubbing. I know it depends on how low I go with the coilovers as well. Just trying to clear up the wheel gap. Thanks for any help.

actually has an FB6 now.
205/15/50 are the size i have on my GSR blades with F&F Type 1s. drop a bit above 2 inches all around. rides fine. no scraping either.

If you want to ride low or lower and eliminate as much rubbing as possible you need to go with factory tire specs. Theres no reason for you to have 205's on there. I prefer wider tires too but we dont need them so decide which you would rather have, less rubbing or wider tires. If youre concerned with traction, get a better tire compound, will do more good than a slightly wider tire.

So am I understaing correctly, for a nice drop with no rub, 195/55-15 is the way to go? I too was thinking about going

I call canyons twisties. I dont know what these 'swirlies' the internet monkeys refer to are.

What i was saying is that you may have to choose your compromise. If you lower your and have rubbing issues, you deal with it or adjust back for it. Raise car, roll fenders if thats where its rubbing or dont run a wider/taller tire.

Swirlies are gs-r blades, you ancient cunt. 205/50. 45 on a 15" can look weird

I run 225/45/15 on 15x7 rims (going to go 15x8 next)... but I am not slammed like the rest of you. However, if you are on factory rims...run factory size tires. No reason not to. You'll just create a lot of tire bulge and have an insufficient contact patch on your tire for squeezing wide tires on a smaller rim. Basically youll have a wider tire, but it won't really be wider.

Ill give you a swirly. :naughty: wait....

I know what they are you monkey. I just hate all the stupid names people come up with for one rim.

You wrapped 225's on a 7? That isnt too large for it?

Not too large at all. A lot of guys run 225 on 7's. The contact patch actually is pretty even, I don't have any bulge. However, I still want to go with 8, just because.

I call them highly reflective spinning knife wheels with the acura emblem in the middle.
