does it look better? yes, in most cases. next year i'm probably going to be on search for a jdm bumper support and i'm fighing w/ myself to keep the 90-91 front end because everyone and their mother switches to the 90-91 front bumper. i like being in the 'not so popular crowd' and do what's 'not so popular' and make it look good, which is where i'm at right now w/ mine, which is why i want to keep it 90-91. i respect the 92-93 front bumper as it takes less to make it look good. but done wrong, it looks as bad if not worse than the 90-91
haha truuuuue that. i may end up just buying a brand new 90-91 bumper from a jdm parts place. this way i can keep my bumper support and what not, and not have to buy a new lip also.

Looking good is only relavent to the eye of the beholder, IMO. If you do your car to make yourself popular, then :slap:

^haha And how does that not apply to ANY bumper.. or part for that matter. Do anything wrong and it'll look terrible. What could you do to it that would make something that looks good all by itself look worse? Dont give me silly extremes either. :rolf:

Kris, thats why i was asking.. because you were going to repaint it later so i was curious. Repaint time is the greatest opportunity to get the most done. And good, it would look. :thumbs up

I laughed at your comment but the rest was for integrahot. Of course i agree, bottom line is if you like it no matter how much anyone else dislikes it. Thats why i dont care how popular or unpopular anything is, who is or isnt doing something or how many are doing it. All that matters is what i like but i do my research and put a lot of thought into it.

well i need a new bumper support either way, so i could go w/ a 92-93 front end conv, but i'm fighting to remain 90-91, personally to me 92-93 = easy way out to make it look good. now i appreciate when people appreciate the hard work on a car that's not so popular in the first place from people that's not even into the honda scene...that's what brings me even more joy. it's too each their own, i wont get mad if anyone went w/ a 92-93 or call them a cop out, it's all personal preference, i just like the difficult road :D

that same 'put a lot of thought into it' is what i'm doing in regards to keeping my 90-91 front bumper to make it look good. i dont have anything done to my front bumper...everything on it is stock...and i love it...i think a more aggressive drop would make it look even better, but as of right now it's working and i agree..it's what i like..and i like my front bumper, i like the 92-93 front bumper as well..i just prefer the 90-91 for the sake of not being in the 92-93 crowd.

sorta like if i ever found myself back in a DC/DB7/8 i'd end up w/ a 94-97 front end even if i had a98-01, but i like the 94-97 way better than the newer years.

haha yeah the shifter is pretty high...doesn't bother me though :)
i think i have to take out the coilovers AGAIN and re-set the preload this time...i dont think i adjusted them correctly. also, my tires may be rubbing up front :( theres a sound i cant quite diagnose

You cant adjust them while theyre in the car? That sucks. lol Its very possible to incur rubbing when you go lower on the car. If you want to confirm just look inside the wheels weels (probably need to remove wheels to see it all) and look for indications of contact against the inner fender and outer plastic liners. One thing you can do it you are unsure if a spot has been rubbed recently because of lowering is put masking tape over the area you arent sure about and check it later. A little rubbing is fairly normal and usually should only occur during full clock uturns, going up driveways or through dips in the road.

i can adjust them while theyre on the car, but i can't adjust/re-set the preload, which is what i think may have messed up since i didnt check it on any of the struts before putting on the car..whoops. i'll get to it soon. and then an alignment, asap
