ok, so car is up and running.. although now I have this WEIRD grumble from my intake after my cooling fans shut down... oh and also the cooling fan has a bad slap to it so it stops once in a while so i have to fix that i guess too and one question.. are these engines supposed to be noisy? when driving under load its a BAD ticking noise but quiets down with road noise and when the clutch is in

so im contemplating on either.. getting tint done, plasti dipping my car or fixing my AC lol.. what do you guys think?

updates.. re-adjusted my valves while at school

and drove home with a very bad valve gasket to prevent me buying 2 of them lol

, tried wire wheel brushing.... didnt work so I broke down and bought paint stripper

so clean :)

..I deleted or misplaced the pictures with primer.. so lets skip that for now

..decided it was WAY TOO blue so went at it again

and a hint.. when painting a couple colors or one over another you can wait until it dries and apply petroleum jelly on the parts you want to stay..the paint wont adhere to the jelly and just wipes off

oh and this was my project today...

donor 1993 civic ex, I gutted the interior completely

and then cut in half with a sawsall lol, kept all the interior and engine im building as my project.. and the group next to me are the new kids.. I had the civic stripped in 2 hours with engine with help from another senior.. there car was barely touched lol

so.. Wednesday my new headunit is coming via mail...alpine 122... got it for more then %60 off so couldnt resist.. plasti dip paint job is pushed off for now... and also getting the new fan considering driving around for the past week with no AC in 90+ weather is a PITA.. oh and acura is replacing my seatbelts on wednesday as well considering they dont retract anymore

ok, so I think I found my last ( i think ) oil leak.. oil pan gasket isnt seating right.. and theres very faint oil leak near the transmission linkage cover. but im not too concerned with that one, and the power steering is leaking.. filled it up twice in 2 weeks so its about time for that..

UPDATES
Fixed my insane idle, ended up being a horrible vacuum leak, took apart my throttle body, cleaned thoroughly , also took apart my IACV and FITV and cleaned those spotless and replaced my PCV valve, but while replacing my PCV, I did a vacuum test and it failed miserably, so whilst replacing it the hose connected to the PCV the thing just snapped in my hand and while looking at it, it was fully dried and broken in numerous places so there was literally no connection to the PCV... replaced the hose and all the freshly cleaned parts.. and wala. hits 750 ish perfectly

UPDATE:
so my lower control arm bushings were shot, destroyed my front tires, so I did a chassis redo,prothane polyurethane bushings for, lower control arm upper control arm, sway bar bushings, endlinks and new rims and tires.. well not new but new to me, picked them off of craigslist for $140.. BBS 15x8 with track tires

Wow, lot of progress. Very nice job indeed. I think i need to send my teg down to you for a month lol
