I know someone selling the (stage 2) 403 cams for $200.
If I throw them in my ls what kind of gains could I expect If I install them alone? Might sound stupid/newby, but I just wanna throw them in real quick cause their cheap lol Do I really need the cam gears/springs and tune? Its a daily driver btw
Any advice would help, but It'd be great to get someone with personal experience.

They're rated at about a 10-15whp increase. You WILL need aftermarket valve train (springs and retainers at minimum) and a good dump tune (bigger injectors/ a pile pressure regulator are suggested and a system to tune on as well)

you'll need to get a tune to properly take advantage of that power. and to get rid of any pinging or hesitations you will likely get. i'd suggest getting an intake and exhaust if youre going to do that.

A friend installed crower 403 with his stock valve train....and his motor lasted a month.... bad things happen when you skimp on proper supporting mods.

thats a good lesson to learn from someone else. OP, basically its an expensive upgrade to consider because you should be doing other things to support that upgrade which cost money.

dam.. I guess I'll have to fork over the money lol. Would I have to use the crower valve springs or could I use after market?
Also how much of a pain in the ass is it install the valve springs?

Another type would work but you can get crower dual valve springs and chromoly retainers for like 212 shipped which is a great price.
Install depends on your comfort level, some people would have no issue, others would study for hours and still be uncomfortable

Ill tell you this right now, its gonna be cheaper to do it yourself because most shops are gonna want to pull the head and thats gonna cost around 900+ total. If you do it yourself the two methods available are your choice also, do it in the car or pull the head. Its easier to work on but more work overall to pull the head. Theres a guide out there on both team-integra and linked on honda-tech.

Definitely buy the cams dude. They're set at a great price. Buy the crower springs and retainers, install them yourself and the go get a good tune.

I'm currently running 403's and love them. Buy the matching springs and retainers from Crower, and have professionally installed (or someone that knows what there doing). Nothing worse than dropping a valve from trying to save a little money. For tuning, oem injectors are more than enough (Kings has tuned NA with oem injectors well over 200whp). I'm running a safc no problems, but go with hondata which will give you more options.Other supproting and recommended mods would be adjustable cam gears, new timing belt, water pump, head gasket, etc... Do it right the first time vs. half ass. Honestly, the cams are the cheapest part of an N/A build. Its everything that goes with it-IM, tb, etc...
