Looking to stop a silent high pitched squeak i hear sometimes when driving really slow im eliminating all posiblities I'm getting the brace/sway and all that good stuff I'm going to change a couple bushings too now my question is (NOOB ALERT) is there wheel bearings and do I switch those or does the whole hub have to be replaced?
I try to look up wheel bearing and word it everyday on google to find a write up but just can't
If you guy know anything write a line if you view bump the thread!

Don't bump tech questions, particularly after two hours. It's annoying.

It sounds like you need new brake pads to me. Edit: wait, is t while you're braking?

wheel bearing would be metal grinding at every speed.

jack up the car.

put your hands at 12 and 6 rock back and forth you shouldnt be able to move it. Also spin the wheel wit your hand and see if you can find the squeel.

First lemme tell you it's a BITCH to replace wheel bearings unless you have proper tools. Make absolutely sure it's not your brakes first before you just go pulling shit off your car.

I got this exact problem. Bearings are 60, but Im not completely sure if it's bearings or not.

Squeaks for every rotation the wheel makes, high pitched.. etc

bad bearing isnt high pitched it more of a vibrating grinding noise at any speed sounds like your pads are worn but u need to give more info like if it happens while breaking accelerating etc.

i think mine is the bearing then. some times it wont be squeaking but if you listen closely while driving you can hear a faint grinding sound for every turn the wheel makes, instead of a squeak. so its the bearing then right? cause it doesnt happen just when im braking or accelerating, for me at least, its at any speed and it only squeaks loud when there is pressure on the right side of the car like when im turning left

A bearing will make a grinding noise that progressively gets worse once it starts going bad. To tell which side it is. Turn left and right doing any speed. If the noise is louder going left then right. Its your passenger bearing. If its louder going right then left. Then its your driverside bearing. Hope this helps!
Ps you also require a press the remove the bearing.

This is exactly how I narrow down a bad bearing. well actually I take off the wheel sometimes something else may be loose.
How do you guys identify bad ball joints?
